Job description
ROLE TITLE: Assistant Manager – Technology ( New Product Industrialization )
REPORTS TO: Sr Manager NPI Technology
LOCATION: Chennai
DATE: 09-07-18
JOB PURPOSE:
To provide support to New product industrialization and OEM handling, documentation
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
NEW PRODUCT INDUSTRIALIZATION :
- New product industrialization in the process through Tyre energy calculation, SAP, and PLM.
- Product validations, analysis, Cut Tyre Rating, Release trackings, and adherence to timelines.
- New process system development and establishing SOP, incorporation of its requirements in SAP.
- Product QCD (Quality, Cost, Delivery) tracking till sign-off and initiative actions for improvements with CFT.
- System development and adherence to the NPD process
- Tooling knowledge and Procurements w.r.t NPD plan, tracking
- Knowledge of DFMEA / PFMEA / Control Plan
- Basic knowledge of SAP / Tyre engg
PROCESS & PRODUCT:
- Optimize the use of existing material / alternate material for Product benefit
- Knowledge and working experience in Tyre Building, Curing Process, and Process Troubleshooting
- Analyze product failure due to product/process and initiate improvement measures
- Generate quality improvement projects to improve product performance and process efficiencies
- PDCA approach to continual improvement and system development
OE, TECHNICAL & QUALITY TASKS:
- New product development systems for OEM
- Good knowledge of OEM requirements and system
- Documentations w.r.t OE Customers / Product Understanding, execution towards requirements.
- OE Customer visit and Audit handling during new product introduction.
- Basic knowledge of Statistical knowledge for Data analysis.

- Proficiency in Tyre Engineering and Industrialization (Capable)

PREFERRED AGE – 23 – 30 yrs
QUALIFICATION
- B.E. Mechanical / B.Tech ( Rubber Technology) / Post Graduation in Science
EXPERIENCE – Minimum 3 – 6 years.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS (IF ANY)
- ESSENTIAL
- Knowledge of DFMEA / PFMEA / Control Plan
- Basic knowledge of SAP / Tyre engg
- DESIRABLE
- ISO-IATF 16496, Statistical knowledge to interact data, PDCA, Improvement projects in previous organization, system.
