Job Description:
The Site Engineer – Telecom will be responsible for the inspection and quality audits of telecom towers in the allocated region. This position entails extensive travel and fieldwork, including climbing towers and performing thorough inspections.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect various types of telecom towers (GBT/RTT/RTP/Monopole).
- Read and interpret Tower General Arrangement (GA) drawings.
- Understand and apply basic IS codes related to tower inspection checks.
- Physically inspect welding and other structural damages on towers.
- Conduct sequential inspections based on the scope of work.
- Use appropriate tools to complete site inspections.
- Follow inspection procedures and adhere to the defined checklist.
- Capture observations accurately and support them with photographs.
- Submit field inspection reports based on quality audits.
- Issue Certificates of Fitness for towers based on quality audit results.
Job Requirements:
- Experience: 0-2 years of experience in telecom infrastructure field.
- Education: Diploma / B.Tech / B.E in Mechanical Engineering.
- Skills: Proficiency in MS Office, practical knowledge of inspection procedures, and an understanding of tower GA drawings.
- Physical Fitness: Able to travel daily (minimum 150km) to inspect sites and climb towers.
- Adventurous & Field-Oriented: Willing to travel extensively and undertake fieldwork.
- Flexibility: Ready to work on projects in various states across the country.
- Communication: Good interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact with vendors.
- Attitude: Flexible, deadline-oriented, and committed to personal and professional development.
Additional Information:
- Travel: This role involves extensive travel and tower climbing as part of field inspections.
- Language: Good written and spoken English is required.
