Position – STET – Project Manager

Job description
You are responsible for
- Leading the execution of large-scale projects that drive global sourcing strategies to deliver the strategic business initiatives. This includes supplier management, E2E product launch management, lifecycle management among other critical sustaining engineering activities.
- Responsible for creating E2E engineering release schedule to qualify products with new suppliers & release to production – this is the most critical aspect of the job responsibility & project management excellence is critical for success.
- Accountable for resolving all technical challenges during the transfer process, which includes resolving product specification challenges, consulting with subject matter experts to guide suppliers, reverse engineering, driving design review workshops, develop test fixtures, etc.
- Accountable for supplier quality performance in assigned projects to improve existing benchmarks and developing improvement plans to ensure Supply Chain target performance levels are achieved.
- Responsible to ensure product requirements are fully defined to enhance quality through transfer projects, this would involve reverse engineering as needed.
- Full responsibility to achieve critical KPIs for QUALITY and productivity targets that are tied to the annual business plans.
- Partner with key business stakeholders to ensure that all business needs are met & improved through sourcing/concept projects.
To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience
- Experience as a Design Transfer Leader is a must
- Experience with cost engineering and management.
- Experience in design cycle of high tech electronic components, assemblies, and/or electro-mechanical systems
- Strong project management skills is a must with ability to lead teams and influence cross-functional stakeholders
- Excellent presentation, communication and negotiation skills, across functions and organizational layers; proven ability to manage relationships at all org levels.
- Knowing and understanding broad business perspective.
- Knowledge of Supply management strategies and tools.
- Demonstrated ability in working in a complex/global environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
- Master’s degree preferred.
- 3+ years’ experience in a high-tech industry with a focus on working with suppliers for design changes & product launches
- PMP certification highly desired

Position – STET – Mechanical Design Engineer – Packaging

Job description
You are responsible for
- As needed, lead the design development and release of packaging products or reverse engineer existing products to improve overall long term system quality, reliability, yield rates, and cost-effectiveness.
- Work with a cross-functional team that includes installers, handlers, and supply chain personnel to ensure the design and development of packaging products meet the needs of the internal and external customers.
- Work with design partners/suppliers and lead product development activities from design concept to manufacturing release.
- Use SolidWorks to create and modify mechanical 3D designs, and 2D drawings.
- Design for packaging to improve the overall green footprint, and to identify opportunities to improve cost, quality, and total cost of ownership by implementing packaging re-use strategies, weight/volume reduction, and material selection.
To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience :
- Strong communication and collaborative abilities, proactively seek out expertise and advice and input from others in a collaborative team environment.
- Experience in the design and development of industrial packaging that is qualified for all three modes of shipping.
- Knowledge of packaging test requirements such as ISTA and ISPM 15 2018 International Standards for Phytosanitary Measures.
- Experience in the design and development of large scale industrial packaging, including verification and validation.
- Knowledge and experience in factory installation of large scale components that includes the design of hoists, and custom fixtures.
- Experience using CAD software (preferably SolidWorks) to create 3D cable designs and 2D drawings for manufacturing release of packaging specifications.
- Experience working with suppliers and design partners, including part/module development and resolving technical issues.
- Strong technical writing/ documentation skills for regulated medical device design environment, including requirements definition.
- Knowledge of good design practices and experience with DFMEA.
- Experience with document control systems (E-Matrix, Agile) and FDA/ISO regulated medical device design environment.
- BSME or MSME from an accredited university.
- 8+ years of experience in an engineering environment required, preferably in Packaging design and development.
Position – STET – Electro-Mechanical Designer – Cables

- Work with a cross-functional team to ensure the mechanical design and development of electro-mechanical components, PCBs, cables, connectors to meet the needs of the internal and external customers.
- Work with design partners/suppliers and lead product development activities from design concept to manufacturing release.
- Use SolidWorks to create and modify mechanical architectures, 3D designs, and 2D drawings.
- Drive continuous improvement projects related to design implementation, manufacturing process, product quality, and reliability.
To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience
- Strong communication and collaborative abilities, proactively seek out expertise and advice and input from others in a collaborative team environment.
- Experience in developing the requirements for the manufacturing of cables and wire harness assemblies. Specific knowledge in IPC/WHMA-620A is a plus.
- Knowledge in industry standards design of cables, connectors (Display port, HDMI), and other standards such as IEC 60601, USB, and VESA.
- Good understanding of manufacturing processes in the construction of cable assemblies.
- Experience using CAD software (preferably SolidWorks) to create 3D cable designs and 2D drawings to document the cable assembly within the HLA and cable spec
- Knowledge in part qualification and statistical process studies such as CP and CPK and be able to work with suppliers to improve part process capability.
- Experience in lifecycle testing and verification activities of cables to meet functional and lifecycle requirements.
- Experience working with suppliers and design partners, including part/module development and resolving technical issues.
- Strong technical writing/ documentation skills for regulated medical device design environment, including requirements definition.
- Knowledge of good design practices and experience with DFMEA.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively work with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure the design meets their expectations and needs, and that the needs/requirements are properly documented.
