Positon – Site SHE Officer

Location – Udaipur, Rajasthan

Job Description

Ensure availability and use of PPEs and safety equipment at the sites.
Ensure availability of requisite fire extinguishers at the sites.
Maintain first aid boxes with requisite items and monitor the same for availability and expiry.
Monitor condition of lifting appliances and ensure it’s safe use.
Ensure `Tool Box Talk Meetings’ are conducted effectively at the sites.
Conduct periodic safety rounds and audits at the sites and ensure actions are completed.
Ensure product safety inspections/audits are done and actions are completed.
Drive implementation of SHE improvement plan and KAIZENs at the sites.
Monitor safety observation reporting at the sites and achieve desired levels/targets.
Recording and analysis of safety incidents ( accidents, injuries, near misses) and actions on the same.
Ensure desired level of involvement of site personnel on SHE matters.
On site SHE induction training to the new employees.
Ongoing training, awareness and counselling to the site teams on SHE.
Coordinate safety committee functioning at the sites.
Ensure emergency preparedness at the sites.
Conduct periodic mock drills at the sites.
Ensure display of safety signage’s, posters and communication at the sites.
SHE reporting to IMS Manager, Site Manager and Operations Manager.
Reporting and communication with Hindustan Zinc on SHE matters.

Degree or Diploma in Engineering (preferably Mechanical or Electrical )
Diploma/Advance Diploma in Industrial/Mining Safety
Min. 3 years experience in handling site activities (preferably Mining/Quarry sites)

Well organized & Systematic.
Ability to communicate effectively with people at various levels of the organization.
Strong written, oral & interpersonal communication skills including communication with non-technical people.
