Job description

Design fixtures, tooling, and small automated machines to support a lean manufacturing environment (compact size, quick cycle time, ease of use and changeover, and repeatability are key).
Create 3D Models of mechanical tooling and fixtures used for manufacturing assembly processes
Interface with Industrial and Development Engineers and outside vendors to procure complex automated machines.
Good experience in using pneumatic and hydraulics.
Maintain high quality / compliance standards in line with Medical Devices manufacturing requirements within Creganna, TE Medical
Properly document and internally communicate all technical discoveries, inventions, and intellectual property. Maintain confidential and proprietary information and communications as property of TE.
Generate detailed 2D drawings to include GD&T.

Bachelor’s in engineering (Mechanical) or Diploma in Tool and Die making
Proven fixture design experience
Innovative mechanical design skills including but not limited to the frequent use of 2D and 3D CAD (Creo and/or Solidworks) modeling and GD&T
Good problem solving and project management skills.
A minimum of 5 years’ experience of fixture design and development engineering
Good knowledge of materials, manufacturing processes
Experience in toolroom or good knowledge of machining processes
Experience using additive manufacturing processes for rapid prototyping.
Minitab Statistical Analysis applications.
Knowledge of Cleanroom Requirements.
