Job description

Answer all engineering calls / requests from operations team as a single window during introduction and regular production of engines and gensets at Aurangabad
Work with U.S. based team to implement hot test specifications in Aurangabad
Document, communicate, resolve build issues related to introduction of product in Aurangabad
Manage / resolve labeling issues (certification and product)
Manage built in quality list for medium vee engines and gensets at Aurangabad, report out to product leaders on regular basis
Work with design control and platform team to resolve / approve any required deviations and PCNs
Lead localization of engine and genset package components in India in order to reduce cost while maintaining product quality while completing the APQP process
Report out on localization progress and roadblocks
Lead NPI, NSI and CPI related activities for products at Aurangabad Engine Center
Champion the project goals, Caterpillar brand and Our Values in Action
Coordinate any regulatory requirements at AEC
Support CQMS, ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 documentation and audits at AEC for products from engineering perspective
Support and work in non-normal business hours as needed to collaborate and meet with US based team
Up to 10% travel potential

10+ years relevant engineering experience in large diesel engine design, engine component resourcing activities and manufacturing processes related to diesel engine assembly and testing, Electric Power Genset assembly, test and paint.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical or Automobile Engineering from an accredited and recognized university.
Proficient in speaking and writing English as well as presenting out to stakeholders.
