Job Description
- Engineer Costing and Sourcing_Automotive
- Essential Qualifications BE/ME (Mechanical/Automotive)
- Sourcing and costing for Automotive parts Experience
- Approx. 6-8 years of relevant experience Essential Skills Working experience in automotive components costing and sourcing ( Sheet metal, plastics, Soft/Hard trims)
- Knowledge of costing methods to support product team Should have the experience to work on should costing ( Part cost, Tool cost & Logistic cost estimation)
- Should be able to calculate the landed price for different regions.
- Establish cost assessment work plans to support program milestone timing
- Manage cost assessment process to establish cost targets (material & supplier tooling) to support the product team
- Should have the experience to work on renegotiation, vendor rationalization
- Experience working with Purchasing with OEM background is an added advantage
- Aptitude for new technologies in benchmarking and costing Internal, functional and competitive benchmarking for products of the same class
- Develop Attribute targets for benchmarking
- Overall knowledge of various systems of passenger/commercial cars
- Expertise in MS Office for documentation
- Should possess good written and verbal communication skills
