You will be working as a Procurement Specialist and will be part of Process Automation (INOPCPA) business for Energy Industries division based in Bangalore, India. In this role you will be reporting to Global Procurement Manager and will be responsible for supporting the implementation, maintenance and compliance of Procurement & Logistics (PL) practice approved activities. Executing assigned activities based on the standard procedures.
Your responsibilities
- Designing and implementing plans for local sourcing to reach the business targets. Supporting regional and global sourcing initiatives as required
- Applying and implementing PL standards, tools and processes in the area of responsibility to secure quality, delivery, cost and sustainability
- Creating and updating reports as required following the ABB standards
- Executing and implementing new directions within the area of responsibility
- Applying standards on health, safety, environment and business ethics within operational work, contract management and negotiations
- Delivering and participating in training programs as required for compliance and professional development
Your background
- B E or B Tech in Mechanical or Electrical or Electronics Engineering
- Minimum 2 to 5 years of experience in Strategic Procurement or capex procurement or Indirect Procurement
- Knowledge of SCM, negotiate pricing, payment follow-up, recommending appropriate solution for customer requests
- Knowledge of working SAP MM, SAP SD, SAP Ariba / any other ERP tool would be an added advantage
