Job description
- Provide the client and the Programme Lead to deliver exceptional standards in fuel programme delivery
- Lead Fuels programmes as directed by the Country Programme Manager
- Support Management colleagues in the delivery of tactical decisions relating to fuel construction programmes
- Lead fuels training for all Operational Team members
- Be mentor and ‘Centre of Excellence’ for Fuels related programmes
- Focal point for HSSE Fuels related issues and support RCA completion.
- Support Country Programme Manager in the annual assessment of the Project Delivery Team relating to Fuel Construction Installation knowledge and delivery. Technical Responsibilities
- Support client team to determine programmes for proposed fuel delivery projects.
- Define all associated project and program requirements relating to fuels and new technologies
- Work closely with Client Engineering Authority on new systems, practices and technology
- Be the centre of excellence for fuels programme and expertise; provide advice on all fuel matters to the project team.
- Enhance the project development sequence for all the sites and all the associated investment programs and projects.
- Support Project Managers in the coordinated delivery programme inclusive of timelines and priorities
- Support client fuel-related procurement activities as directed by the Country Programme Manager
- Support AECOM procurement strategy in fuels related package work to ensure best value for the client.
- Support the Project Team to complete a due diligence process for every site to make certain that all constraints and risks are identified and managed during the development
- Take ownership for the preparation and approval of all FMs and all associated initial cost estimates for all small Fuels programmes in conjunction with local Project Managers
- Liaise and communicate with client Team, in particular, to ensure full involvement and input into all the activities associated with the planning process
- Lead programme strategy and work with the Project Delivery Team and other stakeholders to coordinate workload and the effective utilisation of resources
- Support Project Delivery Team to manage installation contractors to ensure that new systems of work are developed refined informed, then hand over to project teams for business as usual.
- Provide technical input into risk assessments for new equipment and systems
- Technical support for incident investigation
Qualifications
- Bachelor in Engineering (Chemical or Mechanical) with a minimum of 12 years of construction experience.
- Graduate calibre
- Proven track record of excellent client management relationship skills
- Strong interpersonal, & presentation skills
- Confident in formulating & expressing robust opinions. Assertive & challenging as required
- Able to build trusting relationships with all levels of employees and to gain respect & confidence of others
- Ability to adjust rapidly and frequently to new situations & to help others accept and adapt to change
- Proactive, engaging and responsive communication skills
- Proven track record in programme planning and stakeholder management
- Education/qualification in programme/project management
