Product Designer

Responsibilities

• Create Assemblies, Drawings & Creo Models as per customer requirements as well as standard design guidelines in compliance with ZF rules.
• Tool-supported data handling in our PDM system
• Ability to check change requests and perform feasibility studies along with Manufacturing into consideration before processing the work orders
• Process change requests of various components of electric drives & automatic transmissions
• Continuous interface to the development department and specialist department at the plants & other cross-function teams
• Change management of CAD parts in the Intralink/Windchill PLM system
• Able to perform packaging study along with an understanding of the BOM & work closely with development teams in various global locations of ZF group.

Requirements:

• A university degree in Mechanical Engineering is mandatory
• Good product data management knowledge & exposure to the development environment is preferable
• Understanding of constructive correlations (3D-design preferred) & good modeling approach.
• Knowledge of GD&T and other mechanical manufacturing processes is mandatory
• Overview of the PLM process is added advantage
• Good written and oral English language skills
• General computer skills (MS Office, CAD systems, CREO preferred)
• Distinctive communication and negotiation talent for delivery planning & project estimations
• Customer-oriented, friendly appearance with good professional etiquette.
• Analytic and conceptual thinking as well as independent and objective-oriented work
• Ability to work in a team
• Proactive & take initiations during project execution to ensure smooth project development
• Self-motivated to learn needed skills to meet the demands of the project (if needed)
• Ability to work under pressure & flexibility with working time.
