Position – Drawing Checker

Job description

• Product Structure is part of Vehicle Engineering team & responsible to ensure that product documentation is done according to the Volvo group rules & also to make sure that all projects follow the PDM logic.
• We are looking for a key player who can check & validate the Drawings as per guidelines.

The main responsibilities of Drawing Checker are:

• Analyze drawings in terms of component manufacturability
• Follow the release process, Process Instructions, GDIs and ISO Standards
• Provide knowledge and expertise to engineering departments in Drawing Methodology
• Coordinate with other checkers to manage / balance workload.
• Support in release activities
• Monitor and follow the quality of documentation

Must have:

• Design & Drawing check experience in the automotive industry
• Good understanding of GD&T practices
• Basic CAD tool knowledge.
• Product Development Process Knowledge.
• Driving, delivery-focused and service-minded.
• Good communication skills
• Interest in working with people as well as technology and processes.
• Good leadership capabilities.
• Energy and commitment to handle new challenges.
• Abilities to set priorities and take decisions.
• Customer focus.

Educational Background

• B.E, B. Tech, – in Mechanical/Automobile Engineering
• Total Experience 4-5 years
