Job description

Roles and Responsibilities

• Spearheading the design team of Pumps.
• To provide technical as well as aptitude training to team members, new joiners and technicians for motivating them to build a proper career plan.
• Initiating efforts towards bringing down the complaints / production ratio.
• Pioneering innovative tasks for product improvement.
• Motivating team members and Improvement of the staffs and make them capable to hold higher responsibilities.
• Timely completion of the tasks in hand and systematic maintenance of the status of tasks with self and the departments responsible for.
• Maintain CAPEX and scheduled development of validation infrastructure.
• Designing & implementing a healthy system for design transfer to the PD department and its continuous improvement.
• On the basis of feedback from complaint analysis, initiate design changes for performance and durability improvements in existing and new models.
• Drive the CAE projects at departmental level, have know how of rotating elements.
• Support production to improve productivity and in implementing QA systems.
• Adhere team/activities to the newly introduced PLM system in the company.
• Support vendor development for certain products and components.
• Implementing a time based work assignment / measurement system for team.
• Inculcating a habit of continuous improvement among the team members & guide them with appropriate career planning.
• Laying down yearly, quarterly plan to set and measure the achievement in the above areas.
• Take responsibility for testing and validation of products.

Desired Candidate Profile:

• 3 to 5 years of experience in the Automobile/any Mechanical Engineering industry.
• Education – B.Tech/B.E. – Mechanical
