Designation: Design Engineer – Vehicle
Office Location: Hosur Plant (Plant)
Position Description:
Layout design, Packaging study and resolve interface issues.
Experience: 3 to 8 yrs
Educational Qualification: B.E (Mechanical/Automobile/Mechatronics/Product design)
Primary Responsibilities:
- Layout preparation with optimized veh specs & hard points.
- Create envelope by conducting packaging study & complete packaging of Subsystems.
- Resolve Critical packaging issues of all the Subsystems through draft concept models & verifications.
- Optimize layout based on DFX, CFD, NVH & IP inputs
- Conduct Interface checks and resolve interface issues through workshops, CFT meets & CTC meetings.
- Conduct Tolerance Stack analysis to resolve customer complaints & other assembly issues.
- FDR Docs like Design Scorecard, DFMEA preparation
- DFA/DFM/DFS Closure and Special Characteristics Mapping
- Coordinate IP activities & ensure FTO, and IDF are taken care of before each gate release.
- Ensure Modularity of the layout through White space analysis, benchmark, etc.
- Conduct Benchmark study
