Primary Purpose of the Role

Thales India Engineering Competency Center in Bangalore is seeking an Engineer role to be part of Hardware engineering team

Key Responsibilities and Tasks

In this role, you will be responsible for creating Mechanical 3D models, 2D drawings, Correcting and updating drawings/models and releasing them in to the configuration management tool through Engineering Change Orders.

Skills Required

Essential

  • Must have rich experience in creating 3D models and 2D drawings and specifications for mechanical assemblies, sub-assemblies, and components.
  • Must have hands-on experience in CAD tools CREO (PTC) (minimum 3 years).
  • Must have an experience of 2D drawings for machining parts, and fabrication, including Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) based on ISO Standard.
  • Must have experience with contents of Product Data Package (Bill of Material or Item List, Item, Documents, components, COTS, Find Number, Material & Processes Item, configuration management, etc.)
  • Should have experience in developing layout and draw schematic, orthographic or angle views to depict functional relationships of components, assemblies, and sub-systems. Ensure all interfaces between components and sub-assemblies
  • Should have an understanding of linkages and mechanisms
  • Should be good in engineering fundamentals
  • Should have understanding of DFM, DFA, DTC, VA/VE
  • Should have strong commitment in terms of meeting deadlines
  • Should Ensure the upmost high quality and reliability
  • Should have working knowledge of any of the Configuration management tools (Team Center, Palma etc)
  • Should have experience of submitting Engineering Change orders and implementing the changes
  • Desirable of having experience of converting drawings / models which are in French to English

Desirable

  • Working experience in Defense, Aerospace industry is desirable. Having proficiency in French language is desirable.
  • Experience in Electronic enclosure design and packaging will be an added advantages.
  • Experience in CATIA (Dassault) will be an added advantage.

Educational Qualification

B.Tech in Mechanical engineering or equivalent
