Job description
- We are looking for a highly organized Project Manager to oversee the successful execution of development projects. The Project Manager to drive development projects in a timely, efficient and effective way to ensure short time to market, high rate of success, low development cost, high transparency and visibility to the organization.
- In this position, you must closely collaborate with cross functional teams including colleagues from Product Management, Sales, Manufacturing, Development, Operations, and other functions to achieve the common objectives. With having full ownership of the project schedule, you will ensure execution and identify potential risk factors and drive mitigation actions.

Responsibilities:
- Complete end to end planning, direction and coordination of all the project activities
- Overall responsibility for the successful implementation of projects in accordance with the respective project specifications
- Process management: Compliance with the TE Project framework (LEANPD process) and review of the documentation including planning, project risk management and development progress
- Communication: Development of a project-specific communication plan, implementation of weekly project meetings with customers, organization of regular internal project evaluations as required, creation of project progress reports as well as controlling and influencing the expectations of the individual stakeholders
- Setting up, plan and execute the new product development projects.Setup project plans and schedules incl. Comprehensive Project Plan (CPP) for development projects by close cooperation with all involved departments and team members. Define milestones and critical paths and evaluate the risk of delays to minimize their impact on the schedule. Analyze the status of development projects and ensure proper project execution. Record deviations from the target schedules and adjust schedules accordingly.
- Project budget and product cost plan and control, to simulate product cost include parts and tooling in system way in project early phase, to plan and control the P&L.
- Project Status ReportingReport adjustments in the schedules in a timely manner and communicate changes with the team members frequently. Provide detailed updates including statistical evaluations and recommendations to Project Approval Committee (PAC) according to the project gate plan. Highlight issues, which may require members of the management to be involved. Provide ad-hoc updates if requested and maintain a project info board for team members and management regularly.
- Requirements Management Organizing customer needs: evaluate collected marketing information and compile the Project Requirements Document (PRD) and verify it against the Design Objectives with team members.
Qualification:
- Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering or equivalent
- At least 5 years working experience in mechanical/electrical design and/or manufacturer as project manager role.
Critical Experience:
- Knowledge in product cost stimulation and elements of the P&L statement for the project.
- Proven skills in managing multiple projects, risk management.
- Knowledge on interconnectivity products is an added advantage.
- Able to work in a culturally diverse environment and seamlessly collaborate across boundaries.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills and social ability.
- Good negotiating and influence skills, good time management.
- Good knowledge in materials and supply chain process.
- Ability to understand engineering drawing.
- Excellent problem-solving skills. Show initiative and creativity.
