Job description
Job Overview
The incumbent shall be responsible for day to day functioning of Engineering Planning. The job requires monitoring and issuing of daily work packages to Line maintenance, reviewing daily work packages to ensure availability of materials and other resources are available, and coordination with other departments to ensure timely execution of the work package.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparation and Release of the daily aircraft work package in coordination with MCC and Line Maintenance for maximum optimization and planning efficiency
- To plan time for all scheduled maintenance work so that maximum commercial utilization is achieved within the constraints of the approved maintenance program
- Plan for the implementation of the work package taking into consideration the resources available, the aircraft layover downtime, and commercial operation requirements
- Review daily work package issued and ensure materials, reference publications, and tooling/equipment that are required for performing the routine check and task are preloaded
- Daily attend the production Planning Meeting for finalization of the work package
- Liaise with Check Planner (FTM) and LM for implementation of the Line Checks and other variable routine work
- Check for completion of check/ work scheduled, monitor the deferred tasks, and reschedule as necessary
- Preparation of the Aircraft Maintenance Program on the basis of the latest MPD and coordination with DGCA for its timely approval
- Preparation of the inspection schedules based on the current AMP and its approval
- Coordinate with MCC/LM/Supplies for the requirement of tools and manpower for outstations and opening of new stations and ensure their availability
- Coordinate with MRO at Delhi and VTI stores to ensure the availability of spares, tools, and equipment required for the planned check/task and non-routine tasks
Skills & Attributes
- Understanding of Civil Aviation Requirements w.r.t. work package, work orders, tools and equipment
- Basic working skills in MS Office including MS Excel and PowerPoint
- Good Knowledge of AMOS or any other engineering software
Work Experience
- Minimum 3 years of experience in aviation with minimum 1 year of experience in Planning function
Qualification
- Degree/ Diploma in Mechanical/ Aeronautical Engineering or 3 years DGCA approved AME course
- BAMEL in HA and JE or equivalent DGCA modules is preferred
