The Regional Sourcing Manager – Castings / Stampings & Springs role within GSM is focused on the effective and efficient procurement of Stampings, Castings, and Spring within India in support of Stanley, Black & Decker’s 22/22 vision. This role is responsible for implementing category sourcing strategies on a regional level and driving sourcing productivity.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Ensure a high degree of service delivery and SBU satisfaction
• Identify and develop new suppliers in India to support our substantial growth in the region
• Consider unique/specific regional and SBU needs during category strategy implementation
• Provide regional expertise to category and SBU leadership during sourcing strategy development
• Understand and link regional strategy with GSM priorities and SBU goals
• Lead the supplier selection process through the management of formal RFP, RFQ, and RFI processes
• Prepare and perform the negotiation and contract management with regional suppliers
• Drive Year over Year productivity
• Deliver Working Capital benefits through reducing lead times, MOQs, implementing consignment stocks
• Partner with the SBUs to ensure they recognize the business value from the GSM team
• Implement category strategies in support of the 22/22 vision and margin resiliency initiatives
• Responsible for the creation of TCO value to the organization through a combination of productivity, working capital, synergies, reduced risk, improved supplier lead times, etc.
• Maintain business relationships with regional suppliers for Stampings, Castings, and Springs and serve as an escalation point to resolve supplier performance issues
• Identify and develop new suppliers to support regional and local sourcing strategies
• Develop and foster regional supplier relationships that deliver cost reduction, supply assurance, quality improvement, and innovation
• Implement strategic supplier management, supplier risk management, supplier diversity, and CSR programs within India (leveraging Global Supply Management’s Center of Excellence)
• Institutionalize best-practice processes, policies, and knowledge sharing within the Mechanical Components and ensure continuous improvement
• Guarantee compliance with GSM policies and procedures and DoA requirements

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

• 5 years of experience in sourcing
• Must have a balance of both strategic and operational capacities; including regional sourcing, supplier management, commodity risk management, etc.
• Successful track record of implementing sourcing and procurement strategies
• Experience in strategic planning, budgeting, and financial reporting
• The global mindset with experience working in an international/multi-cultural matrix environment
