Role Description/Position Summary
We are seeking a strong electro-mechanical technician who will build, test, integrate, troubleshoot, and qualify electro-mechanical assemblies and sub-assemblies for our instrument systems following standard practices and procedures.
Responsibilities
- assembles and tests a wide range of instrument systems and sub-assemblies for mechanical, electronic, laser, electro-mechanical, or optomechanical applications.
- Establishes and/or adheres to procedures for wiring, component installation, hand soldering, and cable harnessing while working with assembly units.
- Complex mechanical, electrical, and optical systems should be troubleshot.
- To fix incoming quality or design concerns, collaborate with production engineers or managers.
- Establish and maintain a method for reporting “non-Conformity” to internal processes, assembly stages, and faulty supplier supplies. This procedure should be followed by root cause analysis (RCA), corrective actions, and preventative measures (CAPA).
- Work according to the plan, including management and reporting, to make sure KPIs are reached.
- Make sure that all necessary tasks have process documentation (such as ISO, test Reports, etc.) completed.
- Maintain the necessary test equipment which is used for the testing of products.
Minimum Educational Qualification
- BE Production / Mechanical / Electrical or equivalent
Experience and Knowledge Required:
- usually calls for more than 3 years of relevant experience, or a mix of education, training, and experience that demonstrates the necessary competencies.
- Must have previous expertise in assembling and disassembling equipment with simple hand tools, such as screwdrivers, wrenches, soldering tools, wiring tools, electrostatic device protection, etc.
- expertise troubleshooting with oscilloscopes, DVMs, and other test tools
- It is advised to have previous experience dealing with engineers, QA, CSR, D&D, and planners.
- thorough knowledge of numerous Lean & quality improvement approaches, including 5S, VSM, waste reduction, process mapping, control charts, etc.
Skills & Competencies Required:
- a strong understanding of Windows, MS Office, SAP, and other PC-based programs.
- Reading technical drawings, such as assembly drawings, BOMs, wiring diagrams, etc., is a need.
- With both oral and written instructions, quick learner.
- shown the capacity to operate both alone and collaboratively.
- English-speaking expert with strong communication abilities. Correct Documentation Procedures.
