You will be employed as a Senior R&D Engineer by the Nashik, India-based Distribution Solutions division of the Electrification Business Area. In this position, you will report to the R&D Team Leader and work on a variety of challenging technological and engineering tasks that frequently call for the use of cutting-edge and cutting-edge methods.
Your responsibilities
- creating comprehensive CAD 3D models, 2D drawings, and mechanical design concepts
- designing pieces made of sheet metal, cast and machined metal, and molded plastic. Understanding and improving the metal forming and production process
- Creating evaluations in close collaboration with other TC Project Managers and technical professionals
- developing a project portfolio and contributing to the creation of strategic technology strategies inside one’s own company
- collaborating with members of the cross-functional team to improve operational excellence, cost optimization, the inclusion of new features, and the creation of alternative vendors
- serving as the project’s subject matter expert, advising coworkers and more inexperienced team members, serving as a mentor, and sharing lessons gained
- recognizing and controlling risks in one’s own company as well as in research and development (R&D) initiatives
Your background
- Mechanical or electrical engineering BE/ME/MTech
- Experience designing and developing Medium Voltage Indoor AIS Switchgear for 5–10 years in a related field
- The need is for exceptional proficiency in CAD, technical drawings, and PLM technologies.
- Preferably is experienced with PLM software, such as SmarTeam or Windchill.
- A strong capacity to influence others both within and internationally and excellent communication skills
