Position – Welding Design Engineer

Job description

  • Graduate/Post Graduate in Mechanical/Production/Manufacturing Engineering (~Total experience:5-10 years)
  • At least 3 years of relevant experience(e.g. Turbomachinery or Heavy Machinery) with specialization in welding
  • Designing wind turbine components to meet the design requirements such as functionality, robustness, cost-effectiveness, etc.,
  • Design for manufacturing, assembly, and service requirements
  • Good working knowledge of manufacturing methods employed for welded assemblies
  • Strong welding process skills, He must provide solutions to the best welding methods for welding failure and new design.
  • “Working knowledge of materials, weldability and NDE methods”
  • Analyzing engineering designs for welding requirements
  • Conducting failure analyses and cause analyses on welding issues
  • Reviewing welding procedures, processes, and documentation.
  • Working Knowledge in NX and TC
  • 60% in Design Exp and 40% in manufacturing Exp – Mandatory
  • Monitors solution performance in the prototyping, test, and verification phase.
  • Manages the commissioning phase with the customers, and analyzes potential malfunctions.
  • Implement approved concepts.
  • Ensures observance of specifications, under consideration of market and technology trends.
  • Creates respective reports.
