Position Overview

For the chosen gas turbine package, this position is responsible for creating standard technical specifications, request for quotation (RFQ) documents, detail designs, and erection/O&M/product manuals for LGT Auxiliaries like noise enclosures, fire fighting systems, rotor air coolers for GT, exhaust gas diffusers, fin-fan generator coolers, GT inlet dehumidifiers, and diffusers. The team for Mechanical System Engineering at AUX India will include this position.

The post will be situated in the difficult technical environment of the AUX Mechanical Systems department in Gurgaon, India. The Mechanical Systems division operates in many places. The majority of the work will be in engineering, although site support is also included.

Responsibilities

• RFQ papers are being prepared for noise enclosures, a fire suppression system, a rotor air cooler for a generator, an exhaust gas diffuser, a fin-fan generator cooler, a generator inlet dehumidifier, and a diffuser.
• Project management in coordination with the engineering, purchasing, vendors, and engineering divisions of the customer.
• CFD and FEM modelling coordination for design verification and outcome evaluation
• Represent mechanical systems on development teams for gas turbine packages.
• Verify the vendor offers, offer clarifications, and engage in technical vendor negotiations.
• Risk analysis and commercial selection help are included in the vendor evaluation.
• Verify the documentation and design of the vendor. providing documentation, including as assembly drawings, detail drawings, and O&M manuals, to support vendors’ comprehensive designs for the GT’s Rotor Air Cooler, Exhaust Gas Diffuser, Fin-Fan Generator Cooler, GT Inlet Dehumidifier, and Noise Enclosures.
• Make that the vendor’s solution is in line with the product requirements, the customer’s demands, and any interface clarification.
• System designs and models in 2D and 3D tools are created and maintained.
• Take part in cost-saving initiatives.
• Drive SAP PDM implementation by documenting it.
• Publishing and keeping up with reference materials in COMOS, Team Centre, or related databases
• if necessary, provide field or site support.

Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience

• Mechanical engineering bachelor’s or master’s degree, or a similar qualification
• three to ten years of relevant experience in engineering
• worldwide travel capability
• Excellent team player to aid and support the international team
• high degree of adaptability while assuming new obligations
• Excellent language and communication abilities in English
• a strong desire to possess the thing and a strong commitment to it
• a thorough grasp of how delivery time, prices, and quality interact
