Position – Engineer-Quality Planning

For our new and growing area Operational Quality BPS Systems we are looking for a Project Quality Planning Engineer. In this global role, you will be responsible for the application of Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) methods in specific development projects. You will drive quality planning with these projects with product development, product and process engineering, and supply chain management with the successful transfer to production

Main Responsibilities & Tasks:

• In defined development projects, you ensure that APQP and PPAP are worked out for the respective gate reviews and approve them.
• You ensure the development of production control plans, work-, inspection- and qualification instructions, and the execution of initial sampling according to SOP.
• You thus ensure that specifications are translated into attributes and that compliance with them is validated on the product and in the process, and also provide for capability analyses for this purpose.
• You set and implement the standards for creating data-based qualification and validation protocols (product, process, equipment, CSV, …).
• Furthermore, you will be responsible for the (further) development of the error catalog and apply it in the FMEAs with the aim of reducing quality problems.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Degree in mechanical engineering, process engineering, or industrial engineering.
• 3 to 5 years of relevant professional experience in quality management and are an expert in the moderation and implementation of FMEA, Quality-function deployment (QFD), in the application of APIS PLATO e1ns.
• You are very confident in the implementation of regulatory requirements according to ISO 9001 | 13485 | 14000, GMP, IATF 16949, VDA 6.3.
• Furthermore, you have experience in project management as well as in the application of Six Sigma methods, MSA and SPC.
• You have an expert level in the use of the MS Office package as well as SAP E2P.

Job description

• Take full responsibility as the experimental materials engineer and support global plastics group with the design and running of laboratory experiments. o Plan and execute material tests based on these established methods o Evaluate the results and generate comprehensive reports

Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor degree in Polymer science (1st Preference), Material science (2nd Preference), Mechanical engineering with polymer science or material science as focus (3rd Preference)
• 2+ years of experience in polymer material testing
• Very good technical understanding
• Strong analytical judgement.
• Experience in labor atory work.
• Preferable experience in material testing such as mechanical testing (Tensile tests, compression tests, impact tests) and thermal analysis such as DSC or DMA
• Preferable experience with laboratory information systems and databases
• Knowledge of statistical methods and analysis
• Team player with good communication skills

What you can look forward to accomplishing:

• Coordinate and execute activities related to material testing based on project plan or as directed by Manager.
• Implement and validate test methods for biopharma grade polymers with equipment like tensile, Charpy impact, DMA & DSC according to international standards.
• Create technical reports and presentations. Communicate the results to the Global plastic group.
• Create materials library data base for Sartorius by collecting reliable experimental data with attention to detail.
• Take responsibility for supervision, maintenance and troubleshooting .
• Ensures that laboratories are in compliance with Company Laboratory Quality Assurance and Safety Manuals.
