Job description
QUALIFICATIONS
- Mechanical, production, industrial, or automobile engineering, B.E., B.Tech., or M.Tech.
- Only applicants who are immediate joiners and have a minimum of 2 to 8 years of experience in vehicle integration should apply (up to 1 Month Notice Period).
Skill set
- Experience with packages and/or CAD (CATIA V5/V6) is required.
- Shown teamwork
- The capacity to oversee multiple initiatives
- Outstanding abilities in both presentation and communication
- Understanding of vehicle characteristics and Body/Chassis/Powertrain/Electrical systems (such as geometry, function, etc) (e.g. NVH, Climate, Safety, etc.)
YOUR ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Development goals for the vehicle’s interior and occupant package include things like driver comfort, space, outside visibility, simplicity of entry and exit, and luggage/cargo capacity.
- Incorporate targets for the entire mechanical package of the vehicle (such as the exterior dimensions, wheel/tire sizing, clearances, ground clearance, underhood / powerplant clearances, etc.).
- Use competitive benchmarking, customer happiness, and quality data to validate your goals.
- Create and cascade 3D CAD zones to convey occupant and mechanical package targets.
- As needed for any vehicle architecture work, create and maintain Target CAD.
- In order to ensure architectural compatibility between the occupant and mechanical aims and designs, multi-functional activities (such as DR, Vehicle Engineering, Design, Manufacturing, Service, Suppliers, etc.) should coordinate their efforts.
- With consideration for trade-offs between many functions, lead the development of solutions and alternatives to satisfy occupant and mechanical package targets (e.g. quality, function, weight, cost, assembly feasibility, etc.)
- Ensure targets are met by leading the resolution of target incompatibilities with Design and Lead Engineers through multi-functional meeting forums.
- Lead engineering sign-off testing for prototypes at important prototype gateways, including ground, powertrain, tire clearance testing, surface scanning, etc.
