Roles & Responsibilities:
- Engineer having knowledge in mechanical, fabrication, and welding technology with experience in Oil and gas industry.
- He should be able to understand Material standards and heat treatment requirements.
- Exposure to ASME Section IX, Welders Qualification is must. Experience in GTAW, SMAW, GMAW etc other welding techniques, positions, electrodes etc.
- Knowledge on ASNT NDT inspection techniques like UT, RT, PT, MPT etc.
- Work on preparing a database for WPS, PQR and welder qualification documentation along with the respective material database.
- To write reports on investigations/findings in accordance with the scope and send for review.
- Prepare daily/weekly/monthly reports on need basis.
- Knowledge on plant layout, PID and sub-system functioning.
- Validate manufacturer’s specification with standard guidelines, codes etc.
Required Skills (Technical Competency):
- Having exposure to Welding Qualification reports, Material report data
- Exposure to Database reporting
- Excel tools
- PowerPoint
Desired Skills:
- Good Communication skills – Makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens effectively; clarifies information as needed.
- Ability to handle discussions /communications independently
- Works in a Collaborative environment
- Good planning and prioritization skills.
