Position – Design Engineer

Job description
- Minimum 2 to 5 years of experience in component Design & Development of Locomotive
- Thorough knowledge of Cable conduits and packaging
- Able to analyse shop issues and provide solutions
- Should have worked on Concept generation using idea generation methods.
- Have good knowledge on validation process of components.
- Have good knowledge on New component introduction process.
- Should have worked in FMEA, Validation & Verification plan.
- Able to analyse shop issues and provide solutions
- Strong knowledge in Engineering standards followed [ANSI,ISO,ASTM]
- Good oral / written communication skill, English proficiency, MS office proficiency
- GD&T, Tolerance stack-up, DFA/DFM/DFS.
- Should have worked with cross-functional team of Designers, Engineers, Manufacturing, Sourcing, Field service and external consulting engineering teams.
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in NX 10 or above with TcE knowledge
- Good in drawing reading skills.
- Knowledge of manufacturing and machining process. Skills required
- ANSI /ASME specification knowledge.
- Manufacturing/Shop floor exposure.
- Quality & Inspection measuring equipment knowledge. Personal soft skills
- Good in Communication
- Good analytical abilities
- Creativity and ingenuity
- Excellent work ethics
- Self-motivated
