Position – DI Development Test Environment (DTE) Engineer

Job Description

  • The safe working environment for all personnel in the test configurations
  • Installation and maintenance of the test configurations
  • Integration of hardware and software components/subsystems into the test configurations
  • Support development teams with interoperability settings of test environments
  • Calibration and adjustments of the test configurations
  • Baselining the performance of the test configurations
  • Documenting the configuration and status of the test configurations
  • Support analysis and debugging of problems reported with the test configurations
  • Analysis of root causes of image quality (IQ) problems, like spikes, ghosts, and spurious signals
  • Determine root cause of scan aborts or other development-related problems
  • Coach colleagues on various DTE related aspects
  • Maintain extensive product system knowledge over various configurations
  • Time and cost-efficient control of the test configurations
  • Planning and allocation of test configurations
  • Managing incoming and outgoing goods flows from and to the development departments/teams and development projects (e.g. placement of orders, manage shipments, receive and inspect incoming goods, documentation in configuration management tool)
  • Manage stock for the test configurations

Qualifications

  • Completed engineering study at bachelor level in Electronics/Electrical and/or Mechanical/Mechatronics with 5+ years of relevant experience
  • Expert in Electrical and/or Mechanical Hardware Testing
  • Experience in Electronics/Electrical and/or Mechanical/Mechatronics design projects
  • Ability to understand and debug problems across hardware/software boundaries
  • Experience with International Medical Quality and Regulatory Standards e.g. IEC, FDA, UL, CE, CSA, BIS, etc. is a preference
  • Experience in servicing medical devices e.g.MR, CT, X-Ray systems, etc. will be added advantage
  • Disciplined team worker, ability to work independently
  • Able to deal with and handle stress/ad-hoc situations
  • Ability to present ideas and to convince project team members
  • Structured and self-organized
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Team player and driving for results
  • The quality mindset in documentation
