Job description

  • 2-4 Years of experience in Automobile sector on Technical Authoring.
  • The primary responsibility will be to create & maintain service related manuals.
  • Write customer and service manuals for automobile sector.
  • Knowledge on engineering drawing and Installation drawings.
  • Knowledge on serviceability and aftersales concept.
  • Creating Style, Format and Template for service documentation.
  • Experience on authoring tools like Arbortext editor, XML, Epic Editor.
  • Study various applications, understand the user work flows & document technical and user guides
  • Knowledge on Translation process.
  • Determine the needs of the end users for technical & user documentation
  • Plan, develop, organize, write and edit operational procedures and manuals
  • Standardize the documents’ repository across the organization

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Deliver technical documents for a global Truck manufacturing sector. Understand the content development process and requirements of the documents from the technicians/customer.
  • Visualize the parts with the help of the engineering drawings and 3D model, understand the operation with the given source documents and minimum input from the engineers and create service documents with that input.
  • Knowledge of technical publication tools like, Arbortext/Epic Editor, MS Word, Adobe Acrobat, etc.
  • Knowledge of technical illustration process, understand the representation of the illustration with respect to the content and create mark-ups for the illustrators.
  • Knowledge on Installation drawings and interpret the content in service related documents
  • Create documents that are legally correct and simple in language (English) and can be used by any person for carrying out maintenance and service related activities.

Software Skills requirement:

  • Authoring Tools like ArborText Editor (Structured and Unstructured), XML editor
  • Illustration tools like Coreldraw, Adobe Illustratior, Isodraw
  • Blender
  • Teamcenter Visualisation
  • NX
  • MS applications

Relevant Experience Required:

  • About 5 to 8 years of experience Experienced in Daimler Standards, tools and Process.

Skill Requirements:

  • Expertise in Automotive Modules
  • Good Drawing reading skill
  • Very good Parts Technical Specification Knowledge
  • Knowledge of Data Analysis
  • Coordinating the projects and their interdependencies;
  • Managing stakeholders’ communication;
  • Aligning the deliverables (outputs) to the program’s “outcome” with the aid of the business change manager; and
  • Managing the main program documentations such as the program initiation document.

Experience : 5 to 8 Year

Must be a Team Player & also shoulder individual responsibility
Microsoft office skills with good Excel knowledge, power point presentation

Job Description:

  • Develop detailed project plans using MS Project or any organizational specific tool for Truck Powertrain projects
  • Ability to identify project risks and derive effective mitigation plans to handle the same
  • Collect technical inputs from subject matter experts to creating specification for new product development.
  • Communicate complex issues to stakeholders with recommendations on the path forward.
  • Coordinate stakeholder meetings to ensure all parties understand the deliveries and milestones and the resources that are assigned.
  • Responsible for change management process and define the KPIs to track the maturity levels.


BE / ME/ M.Tech / M.S
Skill Requirement:

  • Experience of managing Truck Powertrain projects of different size, and utilizes project management skills to enhance the level of service and quality of deliverables.
  • Hands on experience of Project Development life cycle – project estimation, project planning, monitoring and tracking
  • PMI or equivalent certification desired (Agile experience preferable)
  • MS Office, MSP and any data visualization tools (PowerBI,Tableau)
  • Critical thinking and problem solving skills.
  • Good communication skill & High motivation to work in a team and to contribute with positive attitude.
