Position – Tool Design: Injection Mold Design Engineer

For Tool Designing Role (Injection Mold):

Education:

• Degree / Diploma from CIPET/Tool & Die making from TRTC, DITE, NTTF, CITD, CTTC, NTTF etc.
• Degree in Mechanical/Production
• Added Advantage: M.Tech (Tool Design) / Postgraduate Diploma in Tool and Die making

Job Role:

1. Independently handling Mold flow & cooling analysis (simulation) & mold design of big plastic parts like car bumper / Instrument panel
2. Know-how of plastic part quality issues and injection mold process from machining, assembly & trials issues and to take countermeasures in design

Job Responsibilities:

CAE (mold flow simulation):

1. Capability to do mold flow analysis and cooling analysis for big plastic car parts like Bumpers & Instrument panels
2. The capability of providing countermeasures for mold flow issues
3. Managing closure of all feedback with internal customers

Mold design:

1. Mold design for big parts like Bumper & Instrument panels
2. Knowledge of hot runner system in Mold
3. Ability to take countermeasures in design for issues in new mold development

Mold manufacturing:

1. Machining knowledge
2. Mold assembly & Trial knowledge
3. Inspection of mold at various stages of manufacturing
4. Trials & proving of Molds

Competencies / Skills:

• Desirable: Good knowledge of software UG NX, Autodesk Moldflow.
• Experience in Automobile OEM industry preferred
• Experience in Automobile OEM industry preferred

Automation Engineer

Qualification:

• BE / B. Tech (Mechanical/Mechatronics/Automation) or equivalent from a premier institute. 
• Desirable: Postgraduate diploma in industrial automation (1/2 year)

Job Responsibility:

1. Designing automation projects (i.e Material handling equipment, storage systems, etc.) 
2. Conceptualization, Costing, Calculations, Analysis, Designing, Parts selection, Cycle time reduction, Manufacturing process.
3. Well-versed with 3D CAD Design software, Analysis Softwares, Software up-gradation (Solid edge, UG, etc.)
4. Standardization and project cost optimization.

Competency:

Technical/ Functional: 

1. Working Experience in Design, Installation, and Programming of Factory automations and Machine building
2. Familiar with software such as Uni-graphics, Auto-cad, Factory-CAD
3. Ability to effectively communicate specific requirements with suppliers and monitor the overall development process at the supplier end.
4. Strategic Thinking & Strong execution orientation and problem-solving approach. 5. Knowledge of the Hindi language will be an added advantage.

• Independently handling Die face design and Sheet Metal simulation software (AutoForm and Pamstamp) of Car’s Outer panels (Door, Roof, Hood, Fender and Side Body Outer) and Inner panels (Door and High Strength Steel parts)
• Capable to perform CAE for panel deformation/Springbank and provide compensation as per analysis results
• Basic know-how of Press Die’s design, machining, assembly & trials to commissioning, sheet metal parts quality issues and countermeasures for quality maturation in CAE

Job Responsibility:

CAE (Sheet metal forming and stage simulation):

1. Independently handling Dieface design and Sheet Metal simulation software (AutoForm and Pamstamp) of Car’s Outer panels (Door, Roof, Hood, Fender and Side Body Outer) and Inner panels (Door and High Tensile parts).
2. Capability of providing countermeasures for deformation, spring back and compensation/morphing in Think3 software
3. Capable to identify part quality issues and perform quality improvement work to enhance part accuracy post CAE during trial
4. Prepare surface data for NC programming/machining

Press die design:

• Basic knowhow of Press die operations, die design, manufacturing and die trial for Car’s outer, Inner sheet metal parts and High Strength Steel parts.

Skill:

• Desirable: Good knowledge of software UG NX, AutoForm, Pamstamp, and Think3.
• Experience in the Automobile OEM industry preferred

Design of Press Dies ( Preferred software – UG NX):

1. Independently handling Process planning & solid modeling die design for press dies of automobile’s Outer, Inner & HSS panels.
2. The capability of designing Draw, Trim, Bend, Restrike dies.
3. The capability of designing cam dies with standard BOP cams & manufactured cams. 
4. The capability of designing dies for Transfer & Crossbar Tandem presses.
5. Managing closure of all feedback with customers.

Die Development support:

1. Knowledge of manufacturing sequence.
2. Knowledge of Die trial & quality improvement.
3. Knowledge of tooling materials & workshop practices.
4. Capability to identify defects & suggest countermeasure plan.
5. Knowledge of Trials & proving of Press Dies.

Skill:

• Desirable: Good knowledge of software UG NX.
