Responsibilities & Key Deliverables

  • Various machining processes including machining of castings.
  • Functioning of latest CNC machine tools.Programming of Fanuc, Siemens, mazatrol controls.
  • Solving day-to-day issues for achieving production/quality targets.
  • Process upgradation in terms of quality products and improvement in the overall system.
  • Consolidation and analysis of rejection and rework.Quality assurance techniques or procedures for production.
  • Monitoring and improving OEE of machines.Evaluation of CP and CPK of machines PFMEA and control plan, Kaizen, and poka-yoke.
  • Effective implementation of corrective and preventive action by Error Proofing and Process controls.
  • Monitoring and improving cutting tools’ life.
  • Maintenance, up-gradation, setup change of Fixtures.TPM activities, 5S culture etc

Responsibilities & Key Deliverables

  1. To chalk out product feasibility from Simultaneous engineering for vehicle assembly.
  2. To prepare budget as per the instructions and guidance of seniors
  3. Stage by stage process planning for complete vehicle assembly.
  4. Front loading of data with R&D team and getting in implemented. Lessons learnt of old projects & Must & Wanted sharing with Engg. team and tracking for getting it implemented.
  5. Simultaneous engineeing & Vittual simulation using softwares like 3D Experiance, Catia etc
  6. Conduct Virtual builds to check the Issues upfront based on the Packaging for Trim, CHassis & Final Line
  7. Addressing manufacturing concerns by establishing Ergonomics standards.
  8. Preparation of Process sheets and DCP documents
  9. Assembly fixture design, designing small tools using concept knowledge and sequence
  10. Developing Engineering Specification Test facilities & Smooth Ramp-up of the Required vol / shift

Preferred Industries – Engineering, Automobile

Education Qualification

  • Degree ( Mechanical / Automobile/production) , Preferred – Degree Engineer with relevant experience in Assembly line.

Critical Experience

  1. Well-versed with process and Fixture, tools and Gauges Planning
  2. Vehicle assembly process knowledge.
  3. Expertise in the usage of Software like Catia, 3D Experience, team center, Auto cad, etc.
  4. Skilled and able to do process Documentation – Process Sheet development and modification
  5. Exposure to DCP documents like PFMEA, Control Plans, etc
  6. Knowledge of trends in New technology.
  7. Knowledge of the selection of torque tools for assembly lines.
  8. Has knowledge of logistics i.e. line side storage & packaging standards
  9. Good exposure to Installation and commissioning of fixtures & small tools.

  • Fast and effective communication with the support department for resolution of the issues. i.e. stores, maintenance, Quality and other aggregates.
  • Monitoring and closure of all the IR related issues on the line with the coordination with concern agencies.
  • New model, PPAP and ER implementation on tractor line with proper documentation i.e. SOP Manifest and OJT.
  • To ensure the DWM of respective shift including all PQCDSM parameter and timely action on the issues.
  • To achieve the targets of Akraman i.e. cost saving, OIT, CIT, QC story.
  • Timely resolution of the issues related to Stockyard, Gate Audit, DPR, Card RPH and line stoppage.
  • Understanding of requirements related to TS, OHSAS, TPM and AFSM to face the audits.
  • Monitoring and reduction in consumables and stores items used on line.
