Responsibilities & Key Deliverables
- Strong expertise in engine aggregates
- Hands-on experience on :- Crank train design & calculations ( P-Theta calculations )- Valvetrain design & calculations
- Powerpack understanding, simulation & analysis
- Know-how related to engine durability testing i.e. Pmax / Tmax / Fleet durability
- Optimization of valve timing & cam profile
- Bearing analysis & selection ( Basics )
- Hands-on experience in balancer system design & calculations
- Know-how about silent chain drive, design & analysis
- Knowledge of intake / exhaust system design & optimisation for best performance / emission
- Understanding about CAE/FEA simulation of engine components
- Knowledge of DFMEA on engine & engine parts
- Strong knowledge of engine parts related to manufacturing processes & heat treatments
- Knowledge of emission norms ( Domestic / Global )
Qualification
- B. Tech/M.Tech – Mechanical/Automobile

- Complete understanding of the product, its change content
- Preparing a test plan based on DVP
- Conducting Suitability & Performance Benchmarking trials in various applications in earmarked territory.
- Ensuring tractors are run for stipulated hours under Reliability & Endurance testing.
- Supervising in-house Torture Track & Skid testing.
- Generating and managing ORCs with complete retrofitments of modified components for all projects running in earmarked territory.
- Managing complete data & MIS related to all tractors running in territory.
Experience – 5-12 Years in tractor industry

Qualifications

- Build complex Linear/Non-linear FEA models and their simplification based on resources/requirement as per Mahindra process.
- Build/improve SOPs for better physical representation (FEA modeling) of complex engineering problems, tractor applications and global testing procedures by understanding standards/codes applicable.
- Perform hand on engineering and stress calculations using FBD
- Decide boundary conditions of FEA model based on real physics.
- Solve/debug FEA problems related to tractor components/assemblies to improve fatigue life, strength, Stiffness & improvement in designs to support new product programs, warranty reductions and cost reduction activities
- Make technical recommendation by interpreting the FEA results and understanding the Materials/cost/manufacturing processes to designers.
- Plan/Execute the projects by ensuring on-time delivery & adhering to Mahindra internal processes
- Providing technical support to engineers in debugging, problem solving and motivating
- Validating/guidance to testing team related to loads, boundary conditions and the testing fixtures
- Prepare and present analysis data and results to present to customers, certification authorities, and design reviews across the Mahindra group.
- Visit warranty, field and vendors to Study/analyze/simulate to improve existing and new designs.
Experience
8~ 10 Years with R&D Experience in CAE
