Responsibilities & Key Deliverables

Responsible: Benchmarking, preparation of mechanical system and subsystems design concept prepartion and it’s trade-off, mechanical design of e-components enclosure, internal packaging, integration, detailed design (2D and 3D CAD) preparation by adhering to DQA (DCS, GD&T, DFMEA, DFMA, DFSS, DFS&R, DVP&R etc.), internal & external standards and customer requirements.

He/she will be working for the following four major areas,

  1. Vertical projects: Mechanical structure design
  2. 3Wheeler platform projects: Chassis, suspension, brakes, steering, cargo box, etc.
  3. Special Projects : Mechanical Structural design based on the project scope

Key Deliverables:

  • Detailed benchmarking of different mechanical systems and subsystems of the eKit of the Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV)
  • Manage mechanical systems, subsystems and components level design requirements through cross-functional collaboration with internal and external stakeholders
  • Preparation of concepts and detail parametric design (parts and assemblies) in CATIA V5 for BEV’s mechanical systems such as mechanical structure, chassis, suspension, brakes, steering, (sheet metal, aluminium, casting, composite) in a complex packaging environment from predevelopment to series development phase
  • Evaluate, balance and trade-off the design concepts for the attributes such as DFA, DFS, cost, quality and time line
  • Interface and DMU analysis, generate a report and seamless coordination with internal and external stakeholders to resolve packaging and integration challenges

  • Experience transitioning products from paper to production
