Responsibilities & Key Deliverables
  • Understand Project requirements as per program milestones. (Any OEM Product development gateway systems)
  • Support Project delivery related to engineering and design from kick-off to implementation, including QFD, benchmarking, feature analysis, engineering, drawing, and model preparation release, CAE and physical validation support, development Implementation support, DFMEA, DVP
  • CAD support for engineering proposals preparation in consultation with internal-external (supplier) experts
  • Release of drawings and model with system engineer
  • Preparation of Bill of Material
  • Support to CDMM and other implementation teams for part development and quality initiatives
General Competencies
  • Good in CAD Modeling
  • Knowledge of Design Optimization
  • Hands-on experience in BOM creation
Functional Competencies / Skills critical for the job
  • Experience in Trim Design at Automobile OEM or Tier 1 is preferred with around 4 to 7 Yrs.
  • Exposure to global requirements for trim engineering & design (IP, Console, CCB, air vent, etc.)
  • Expertise in plastic component design and knowledge and understanding of tooling.
  • Expert in Catia V5 and engineering data management systems.
Experience
  • Diploma / Post Diploma in Tool Design with 6 to 7 yrs
  • Graduate in Mechanical / Tool Engineering with 3 to 4 yrs

Responsibilities & Key Deliverables
  1. To participate in design, development, and implementation activities for all Mechanical features in the particular electric vehicle platform .
  2. Validating the systems by making proper test cases in both system and vehicle level so as to give issue-free products to the customer.
  3. Build & Validation Concerns and Field failures – analysis: Analysing on the field, Build and Validation reported concerns and giving solution to eliminate them as an ICA.
  4. Must demonstrate a high degree of problem-solving ability. Usage of Quality tools, Analysis tools like 8D, Why-Why, Fish Bone, FTA, etc., DFMEA, Design Reviews.
  5. Having good knowledge/background on an electrical vehicle with overall terminology understanding including Chassis, Interior, Exterior, Driver train, HV Battery & Enclosure, Power electronics & Enclosure Etc..
  6. Having a basic knowledge of manufacturing processes like Plastic & Composite Moulding, Casting & Forging, Other fabrication-related processes, etc.
  7. Initiate, Interact with CFT & Lead design engineers for Vehicle & System integration to realize the required features.
  8. Participation in IMCR / VAVE activities.
  9. Should have knowledge on working of BOM details of components.
  10. Fluent in the use of personal computer programs such as Access, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.
  11. BOM Verification and Sign-off with CFT for all stages of vehicle and aggregates (KITs) etc., Also BCRN and SAP BOM change monitoring.
  12. EN Co-ordination – Conducting Pre-EN & Post-EN meetings, Sign-off, and follow-ups implementation with declaring cut-off.
  13. Raising DCR, PRs (Purchase requisition), MIN, Stock Transfer Requests, RGP, etc.
Experience – 4 to 6 years
