Responsibilities & Key Deliverables
  • Participation & Coordination of concern resolution with Field, User plant, and in-house for proprietary critical parts
  • Basic knowledge of commodity handled
  • Troubleshooting of proprietary parts and independently drive action at supplier end
  • Ensure that the lessons learned from product families are shared with the platform team (COE, CDMM, etc.) for new product development as input for the prevention of repeated known issues
  • Provide support and involvement in new product development improvements through early involvement in product development Process and completion of joint PPAP with CDMM
  • Drive collaboration with suppliers to improve manufacturing processes and deploy processes and tools.
  • Monitor supplier performance measurement, supplier audits and Supplier Corrective Action Requests (SCAR), etc.
  • Develop and ensure implementation of process norms for management of suppliers by
  • Verification of products and services from the suppliers.
  • Evaluation of the performance of suppliers and monitor the improvement plans
  • Enhance technical capabilities of vendor through systems and knowledge upgradations
  • Review, Analyze and implement results of quality audits at the supplier end

Responsibilities & Key Deliverables
  1. Setting up quality systems at supplier end to deliver defect-free parts
  2. Work with Design and development team to prepare part inspection plan
  3. Carry out PPAP for new development parts
  4. Resolution of Parts Quality Problems, CAPA based Audits of BO Parts
  5. Execute parts Quality Improvement based on feedback from manufacturing line, Goods Receipts Inspection, and Field failures.
  6. Working on Proactive measures and improvement drives such as zero-defect manufacturing
  7. Carry out supplier assessment for onboarding, regular process audits
  8. Coordinate periodic supplier performance reviews and provide input/recommendation to reevaluate supplier status
  9. Management of quality documents, Certifications, Audits, reports, trends as part of QMIS

Responsibilities & Key Deliverables
  • Manage a set of dealerships and dealer teams to achieve the business parameters like volumes, market share, collection, deliveries, spares parts sales, etc.
  • Inquiry generation and management (CDMS.New dealership development along with Channel team.
  • Ensuring viable distribution network by appointing dealers, sub-dealers for appropriate market coverage. Implementation of specific incentive schemes for dealers.
  • Participate in the development and/or execution of field activities.

Position – Senior Engineer – Clutch CoE

Job description

Responsibilities & Key Deliverables
  1. To check & verify the design and monitor the development of the Clutch system along with the CFT Team based on VDS/SDS, Customer inputs requirement, and market strategy
  2. Coordinate with system engineer for verification of design and development of the Clutch System including clutch, clutch release, clutch pedal so as meet the vehicle timeline
  3. Layout signoff (DMU review) of the clutch system internally & also with the other interface teams
  4. Participate in Design FMEA, PPAP, Supplier audits along with the CFT.
  5. Applying domain knowledge for theoretical calculation on clamp load/release load, meeting pedal effort requirements, energy dissipation, NVH requirements
  6. Follow MPDS system, to design and develop the system as per the project targets and coordinate with the team members internal and external to carry out the task
  7. IMCR initiators and implementation
  8. Field concern resolution & maintaining warranty data for all projects.
  9. Design FMEA, Design Review to be conducted with vendors, as & when required.
  10. Review with the Manufacturing, Service, Quality Departments regularly for all open points
  11. Review with PVT and service for the field concern resolutions
  12. Warranty cost for the aggregate monitored in R / 1000 for 3 MIS – approve the Design that robust for a clutch system for meeting the R/1000 targets
  13. IMCR projects – Cost reduction – Making design proposal in the clutch system to reduce cost without compromising the quality, functionality, and product life
  14. CPI Rating – Verify the design which will meet the time, cost, weight as per the project target
  15. Support in resolving all developmental issues & prepare Global 8D reports for the same
Experience – 5 to 7 years

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical / Automobile Engineering or equivalent Or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent. (Production / Mechanical / Auto)

General Requirements

Functional Competencies / Skills critical for the job
  1. Strong domain knowledge on the Clutch system (disc assembly, cover assembly, release bearing, and actuation) design & development.
  2. Knowledge on component level and vehicle level validation of the Clutch systems
  3. Should have the knowledge, experience on vendor quality issues, end of line quality issues, customer warranty issues
  4. Fair knowledge of NVH and experience in carrying out clutch tuning on vehicles.
  5. Knowledge of CAD preferably in Unigraphics, GD&T, DOE, FMEA
  6. Basic Knowledge of quality tools and standards
  7. Knowledge of Unigraphics & Team Centre is added advantage
  8. Good Driving skills in both passenger cars and light commercial vehicles and must hold a valid driving license
