Job description
Responsibilities & Key Deliverables
- Creating full vehicle runnable crash FE models and simulate crash tests frontal, side, rear, pedestrian etc using CAE software like LS-DYNA, Hypermesh, Lsprepost, Primer etc
- Understanding of the vehicle crash behaviour and work on the optimum durable design/ recommend design modification to improve Crash performance with a minimum mass
- Suggest modifications to make the design red to green with iterations in a given time with collaboration.
- Able to mentor one or two fresh PGETs in conducting crash DVP simulations
- Crash-test data analyses and suggest improvement in Crash CAE to Test Correlation
- Experience in project Planning & Prioritizing, allocation of resources, adhering to the project timelines etc
- Good at communication , negotiation, interpersonal relationships, Motivation
General Competencies
- Basic Finite Element Analysis(FEA) knowledge & Strong Mechanical Engineering Fundamentals
- Competent in the Crash Analysis related to US, European, Australian and Indian Crash standards
- Knowledge of Non-linear, Dynamic, Explicit FE-Analysis, Time Step Considerations, Materials, Elements, Mass Scaling, Energy Balance, Hourglassing, connections, boundary conditions, etc.
- Good knowledge of debugging Dyna decks

Tool Knowledge

Experience
- BTech – 7 to 8 yrs or MTech – 4 to 5 yrs in Automotive Vehicle crashworthiness using LS-DYNA Software
Industry Preferred – Automotive
Qualifications
- B.E Mechanical (Min First class)
- M.Tech/M.E – Machine Design (Preferred from IIT or another good institute)
