Responsibilities & Key Deliverables
  1. To chalk out product feasibility from Simultaneous engineering for vehicle assembly.
  2. To prepare a budget as per the instructions and guidance of seniors
  3. Stage-by-stage process planning for complete vehicle assembly.
  4. Front loading of data with the R&D team and getting it implemented. Lessons learned of old projects & Must & Wanted sharing with Engg. team and tracking for getting it implemented.
  5. Simultaneous engineering & Virtual simulation using software like 3D Experience, Catia, etc
  6. Conduct Virtual builds to check the Issues upfront based on the Packaging for Trim, CHassis & Final Line
  7. Addressing manufacturing concerns by establishing Ergonomics standards.
  8. Preparation of Process sheets and DCP documents
  9. Assembly fixture design, designing small tools using concept knowledge and sequence
  10. Developing Engineering Specification Test facilities & Smooth Ramp-up of the Required vol/shift

Education Qualification
  • Degree ( Mechanical / Automobile/production), Preferred – Degree Engineer with relevant experience in Assembly line.

  1. Well-versed with process and Fixture, tools and Gauges Planning
  2. Vehicle assembly process knowledge.
  3. Expertise in the usage of Software like Catia, 3D Experience, team center, Auto cad, etc.
  4. Skilled and able to do process Documentation – Process Sheet development and modification
  5. Exposure to DCP documents like PFMEA, Control Plans, etc
  6. Knowledge of trends in New technology.
  7. Knowledge of the selection of torque tools for assembly lines.
  8. Has knowledge of logistics i.e. line side storage & packaging standards
  9. Good exposure to Installation and commissioning of fixtures & small tools.

Responsibilities & Key Deliverables

  1. The facility, tools, fixtures planning, budget workout, procurement, and implementation for new Variant projects on vehicle assembly, New Variants introduction as per APQP. Design and establishment of a process for new products/models implementation at vehicle assembly.
  2. Workout budget requirement, FTG procurement, Installation, and commission for Product and process change management.
  3. Study and analyse all PCRN and PDRN to accept for implementation and close as per check sheet for respective shops.
  4. Ensure for DCP review as and when required and Process audit readiness for respective shop.
  5. Line Process Concerns, Field concerns, Quality concerns resolutions effectively and efficiently.
  6. Identify and implement Process improvement and WC reduction in existing Vehicle assembly process to improve overall productivity.
  7. Preparation of new layout or modification in existing for improving overall productivity of the TCF.
  8. Design and implement the facility and equipment as per the PPAP guideline.
