Job Biography

Handles project activities from conception to completion, including effective change and risk management in a multidisciplinary team environment

Job Purpose

The scope of the role is centered on an assigned project, managing project related activities from conception to completion. Responsibilities include detailed project planning, identifying resource and competency requirements, change management, risk management, reporting project metrics to senior management, coordination with multi-disciplinary teams, and internal and external stakeholders

Education

Diploma Engineers, Engineering Graduate

Preferred Education
Experience – 5 -7 Years
Certifications PMP Certification

Principal Accountabilities (A)

Technical Management
Skill enhancement
* Accountable to analyze market trends and acquire/upgrade technical knowledge and share with the team
* Responsible to have awareness of relevant tools and standards (commercial, in-house, customer proprietary).
* Contributes to developing solution/PoC for identified concepts with guidance from Tech Lead/Specialist 
Project Management
Project management and governance
* Responsible for detailed project planning, including assumptions, schedule, deliverables with milestones, identifying resource and competency requirements, inventory management, and change management.
* Accountable for inter-disciplinary/on-site team coordination and stakeholder management
* Accountable to ensure conformance and compliance with organizational/customer guidelines, processes, and standard practices in project deliveries.
* Ensures to prepare project status reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends
Work order management
* Responsible for optimal resource utilization for timely delivery and improved efficiency. Has cost awareness and assists PM in executing the projected growth plan.
* Ensures setting up project execution strategy and plans to ensure that deliverables are according to customer expectations, quality requirements, within agreed budget and timelines. Ensures to track change management
Risk management
* Responsible to identify project risks and mitigate them by appropriate solution
Process Management
Drive quality metrics
* Maintains project schedule by monitoring progress, coordinating activities, resolving problems if any
* Responsible to implement and identify measures for defect prevention/elimination and ensures closure of defects if any as per the QMS and SLA
* Accountable for process compliance. Participates in project audits. Tailors and develops standard checklists
Process adherence/Improvement
* Accountable for delegation and collective decision making in the group.
* Ensures to identify, drive, and lead continuous improvement initiatives within the scope of work.
* Accountable to collect and contribute to the knowledge management and best practices
Quality standards
* Responsible for setting and achieving project target on quality and process compliance in consultation with PMEnsures to keep all sub-project/project related documentation up-to-date as per the organization/project process

Customer Management
Manage and build relationships
* Accountable for communication with onsite coordinator/customers to share delivery performance and understand issues, if any 
Feedback management
* Responsible to monitor timely customer feedback, analyze the area of concern and roll out the action plans to address them
Escalation management
* Accountable to escalate issues, if any, in a timely fashion to prevent risks, ensure to adhere to escalation management plan as per project/customer requirement 
People Management
Performance management
* Ensures to facilitate periodic meetings to share team performance, communicate new initiatives, and convey expectations.
* Provides clear goals and objectives to direct sub-ordinates for appraisal
Resource management
* Ensures to participate in the recruitment of required technical staff to meet department and project needs
People development
* Ensures harmonious and professional working environment and conflict resolution (if any)Ensure to motivate the team members through reward programs
Training and development
* Ensures to identify training needs for team members, facilitate the creation of Individual Development Plans (IDP) and monitors the progress of IDP implementation

* Responsible to implement project profitability (ensures group target on revenue and profitability are met) and helps PM in executing the growth plan
* Accountable to proactively contribute to project proposal activities

Technical Focus Areas

  • Hands-on experience in executing Automation projects for process plants – preferably in CPG / Oil & Gas / Chemical domains
  • Required – Deep knowledge of Ignition SCADA
  • Desirable – Experience in motion control programming, preferable in Rockwell Kinetix
  • Required – Rockwell / PLC hardware selection and programming knowledge
  • Desirable – DCS/MES experience
  • Desirable – fair understanding of Low Voltage Electrical Systems
  • Outstanding verbal and written communications skills
  • Ability to analyze the problem and provide solutions during the troubleshooting situations
