  • Provides quality engineering solutions that are diverse in nature, collaborates with interdisciplinary teams and handles issues and risks under minimal supervision

Job Purpose

  • The scope of the role is to provide engineering solutions with excellent technical understanding and minimal supervision. Responsibilities include ability to execute project related tasks, being adaptable and flexible to dynamic changes in project, self-awareness on process and tools and quality compliance

Education – Engineering Graduate or Diploma Engineers
Preferred Education
Experience – 18 – 48 months

  • Impacts completion of difficult assignments with the application of technical knowledge of principles, practices and procedures
  • Impacts on-time delivery by collaborating with inter disciplinary team at various stages of the project life cycle
  • Influences efficiency, stability, quality and scalability of system resources by analysing and making right engineering solution decisions
  • Influences the solutioning capability of the team with technical strengths and knowledge sharing
Principal Accountabilities (A)

Technical Management

Understanding requirements

  • Accountable to understand the technical requirements and carryout the project related activities as per project specification and checklists

Tool/Engineering design – awareness and knowledge

  • Ensures to have awareness of standards, both international/local as well as those required by the customer

Technical solution generation

  • Accountable for timely reporting and submission of error free deliverables within assigned time and effort estimated/planned
  • Responsible to proactively pre-empt what is required and ask for help/information from supervisor to ensure delivery of solution as expected

Skill development and contribution

  • Responsible to provide inputs for improvement in productivity, upgrade team technical skills and by imparting training/sharing knowledge with the team. Assess alternative solutions/equipment selection with in the budget
  • Responsible to proactively upgrade domain knowledge, technical skills as needed by the project

Project Management

Project execution

  • Ensures to understand the requirements, scope, purpose, risks and objectives of the project. Understands that the decision taken by this role holder has an impact on the other stake holders
  • Responsible for planning, organizing and prioritising work assigned, multi-disciplinary team coordination, efficiently handling those activities as advised by project lead/tech lead by eliminating unnecessary activities

Project review and reporting

  • Responsible to understand the estimated efforts as per the project requirements and meeting the project milestones
  • Accountable to efficiently handle assigned activities with minimum supervision as per the given schedule. Responsible to report the progress of the project to the Line Manager as per the plan

Process Management

Process and tool awareness

  • Ensures familiarization and compliances to the tools and processes

Understanding process and tools

  • Ensures to be a good team player and is able to work well in coordination within the team, other discipline team members, client, and vendors where applicable
  • Understands and adheres to appropriate work habits maintaining neatness, personal hygiene as appropriate to the role

  • Ensures to adhere to company and customer policies, rules and procedures
  • Responsible to understand and meet the quality standards and maintain records as required by the QM

  • Expertise over mechanical parts design, modelling, simulation and finite element analysis tools
