Position – Mechanical Technical Lead Engineer

Job Responsibilities
- Design, develop and implement cost-effective solution for power distribution systems and power boxes
- Selection of OEM components and materials for power boxes
- Create and release engineering drawings & bill of materials using Engineering Change Management process
- Interact with PG counterpart in US
- Study and recommend corrective solutions for Problem Reports of varying complexities.
- Provide immediate response and timely resolution to design related production issues encountered during the build process
- Conduct Design review to get buy-in from all cross functional teams
Minimum Qualification
- B.E/B.Tech or M.E/M.Tech (Mechanical) with minimum 6 years of relevant experience
- Proficiency in designing medium complex sheet metal and machining components, structure and release of manufacturing drawings
- Proficiency in DFMEA, Thermal hand calculations and structural simulations (Conduction, Convection, Heat dissipation and increase in temperature) to facilitate selection of heat sinks, Cooling systems like Fans, etc.
- Excellent exposure on mechanical OEM components selection based on first principles
- Proficient in 3D Modelling, Assembly and Detailing using Nx or any CAD packages & PLM, PDM
- Experience in leading the project from requirements to release for manufacturing.
Preferred Qualification
- Proficiency in design of Powerbox / control panels /electro mechanical boxes
- Basic knowledge on analysis software like Nx-Nastran to validate the design
- Knowledge in Engineering Change Management Process
- Exposure to Value Engineering would be an advantage
- Exposure to knowledge on electrical schematics and high voltage electrical components
- Awareness on EMC & EMI requirements
- Knowledge of DFX

In Hardware group, mechanical engineers, simulation analysts, electrical engineers, manufacturing engineers, and supplier quality engineers contribute to designing and improving Lam’s products.
Job Responsibilities:
You will be creating and maintaining medium-complex part/assembly layout and manufacturing drawings of Lam products. Collaborate with product development engineers in implementing concept design and design changes. Propose OEM parts to aid design and assist the product development engineers in performing functional tests. You need to consult/advise suppliers during product design to translate detailed engineering requirements into specifications, collaborate with internal and external cross functional teams for problem solving and design validation. Accountable for delivering on time with quality as per Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), as well as consistent improvement in efficiency.
Minimum Qualification
- Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering with minimum 6 years of relevant experience. (or) Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with minimum 10 years of relevant experience.
- Proficient in 3D Modelling, Assembly and Detailing using NX or Creo
- Developed detail design applying Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (DFMA) principles
- Applied advanced GD&T capabilities in manufacturing drawings
- Selected hardware (fasteners) and OEM components
- Experience in creating medium-complex tubes/cables/harness routing
Preferred Qualification
- Knowledge on should costing or value engineering methodologies
- Knowledge on Engineering Change Management processes
- Exposure to Semi-conductor industry related Engineering activities

- Design, develop and implement cost-effective solution for power distribution systems and power boxes
- Conduct feasibility studies and testing on new and modified designs
- Assist in providing feedback on others work including presentations, drawings and models, and communicating ideas and results to other engineers and management
- Work with potential suppliers to ensure parts can be manufactured in accordance with performance and cost objectives
- Collaborate with cross functional team to ensure hardware designs meet overall product objectives
- Study and recommend corrective solutions for Problem Reports of varying complexities.
- Provide immediate response and timely resolution to design related production issues encountered during the build process
Minimum Qualification
- Bachelor / Masters in Mechanical Engineering with minimum 12 years of relevant experience
- Proficiency in designing medium complex sheet metal and machining components, structure and release of manufacturing drawings
- Proficiency in DFMEA, Thermal hand calculations and structural simulations (Conduction, Convection, Heat dissipation and increase in temperature) to facilitate selection of heat sinks, Cooling systems like Fans, etc.
- Excellent exposure on mechanical OEM components selection based on first principles
- Demonstrated understanding and implementation of relevant design & compliance standards (e.g. NEC, NFPA, UL, IEC standard, etc)
- Experience in implementing problem solving & decision-making methods like DFSS, DFMEA, 8D, DFX
- Experience in leading the project from requirements to release for manufacturing.
Prefered qualification
