Lam Research is a leading global manufacturer of capital equipment used in making leading-edge-semiconductors across the world. We primarily compete in four specific areas – deposition, etch, photoresist strip, and single wafer clean. Lam Research India team is organized into three major areas of responsibility: Hardware, Software, and Operations. We have an open position in the Hardware group. The Hardware group, designs subassemblies and subsystems for Lam’s product lines, providing innovation for the next-generation products, providing improvements in cost and reliability. In Hardware group, mechanical engineers, simulation analysts, electrical engineers, manufacturing engineers, and supplier quality engineers contribute to designing and improving Lam’s productsEligibility Criteria
- Years of Experience: Minimum 4 years of experience
- Educational qualification: B.E/B.Tech (6 yrs) or M.E/M.Tech (4 yrs) in Mechanical domain
Primary Responsibilities
- Propose & implement solutions for Product Quality for build issues, sustaining product performance related problems and field issues (problem reports) and mange priorities
- Using material tracking tools highlight critical shortages
- Owns design review tasks/Simple sub-system/medium complex CIP/Medium complex parts
- Validates designs through prototype/computational modeling to support engineering decisions
- Coordinates implementation for Obsolete (OB)/End of Life (EOL) parts and/or FFF(Inter changeability) changes.
- Create and release Lam parts with required attributes (Part category, Make or Buy, Criticality & etc.)
- Create and release engineering drawings & bill of materials using Engineering Change Management process
- Track all Controls owned PRs and keep updated for correctness and ensure KPI’s are met
- Propose/contribute to process improvements in their area of operation
- Collaborate with peers and stake holders to understand and define cut-in strategy for the change order implementation
Mandatory Skills required to performing the job
- Experience in Design, Drafting & Engineering Change management
- Knowledge/Experience in design of Mechanical, Electro-Mechanical Components using Machinery Standards, Mechanical Drafting standards
- Manufacturing process knowledge such as sheet-metal, welding, DFMA basics, GD&T, etc.
- Proficient in 3D Modelling, Assembly and Detailing using UG NX/Creo & PLM, PDM
- Good understanding of BoM (Bill of Material) structure
- Knowledge in Obsolescence process
Desirable Skills
- Experience in working with teams like electro-mechanical, Global Product Support, manufacturing engineers for major projects
- Knowledge in Project management tools and methodologies
- Knowledge of NSR (Non Standard Requests), NPD (New Product Development) processes
- Has good communication skills (written & verbal)
- Analytical skills and Provides RCCAs for impacted parts/assembly issues
