Job description
You are:
- A B.E. / B. Tech in Mechanical/Production/Industrial Engineering with a minimum 65% aggregate
- Graduating in 2024 without any backlogs
Your typical day:
- Interface with Manufacturing teams to address issues pertaining to assembly sequence, fixtures, and product design
- Modify mechanical engineering drawings/specifications of moderate scope under general supervision with Engineering Changer Requests
- Develops, implements, and maintains methods, operation sequence, and processes in the manufacturing of sub-assemblies/final assemblies
- Perform virtual build and create a sequence of assembly
- Participate actively in idea-generation forums and contribute to innovative solutions
- Understand Lam products and its manufacturing process
You need to know:
- Application of Manufacturing Technology, Strength of Materials, Theory of Machines to address manufacturing challenges
- Knowledge of various materials and their applications
- Knowledge of machining, welding, molding, sheet-metal fabrication & casting processes
- Fundamental data analytics and statistical skills
Nice to know:
- Hands-on projects that include prototyping and assembly
- Advanced manufacturing methods – Additive Manufacturing and 3D printing, Water jet machining, Ceramic Manufacturing
- Experience with 3D Modelling and assembly using any CAD package
- Use of simulation tools such as Ansys, Nastran, Creo Simulate etc.
