Job description

Purpose of the Role:

  • Design and develop new products based on marketing business cases, as well as customized choices for commercialized items based on market needs.
  • As per the PD plan, achieve the target cost and COP of products to boost the bottom line of the firm.
  • Deliver Bills of Material for pre-scope and pre-purchase inquiries in accordance with corporate priorities in order to increase revenue.
  • Resolve warranty complaints in Turning Centre goods in accordance with ISO objectives to improve product quality using DEMS.
  • High-Frequency Management is used to prioritize and manage the daily activities of mechanical team members in collaboration with the department head.

Responsibilities & Accountabilities:

  • Design an idea for turning center machine assembly.
  • In collaboration with the R&D head, prepare a project charter for NPD Turning Center Machines, including machine specifications, standard and optional accessories, target cost, schedule, and failure mode for all Turning Center Machines.
  • To achieve a Zero Defect Product, create and address FMD in the design.
  • Visit the customer’s location to learn about their needs.
  • Coordination with QA, AE, and CSD to complete machine validation as planned.
  • Prepare a procedure for testing and validating Turning Center Machines.
  • To boost inventory turns, resolve non-moving inventory in Turning Centre Products.
  • Reduce costs by comparing the prices of commercialized products.
  • Prepare Kaizen for cost reduction, design improvements, and product and process optimization.
