Job description
The Team Leader/Sr. Engineer – Systems will be responsible for this role. Engineering standards, CAD automation, and engineering tools are the main areas of concentration for this role. Supporting Pre-Order and Post-Order Engineering Drawings, Bills of Materials, Engineering Calculations, Manufacturing and Procurement Specifications, and Datasheets are additional to standardization.
Domain:
- Process Equipment: Filtration and separation equipment for turbomachinery used in gas compression, power generation, polymer, mining, water, and general industries. valves for transfer and isolation.
- CAD-based automation for assembly and configuration utilizing Solid Edge
Duties & Responsibilities
Design Engineering
- Process equipment general layout for the customer, production, and service teams
- structural drawings utilising the Solidedge 3D model, detailed component drawings, and isometric pipe drawings.
- Material takeoff and raw material consolidation.
- detailed BOM including structural and plumbing components.
- preparation of instrumentation and component datasheets,
- Send a comprehensive set of production drawings to the factory.
- calculation of each piece of process machinery in accordance with the required standards.
- Design for pressure vessels in accordance with various international standards
- Building a 3D library in Team Center and 3D modelling in Solid Edge.
- Bill of Materials creation (BOM)
- creation of all manufacturing-related tool drawings.
- Encourage safe workplace practises and adherence to Smiths EH&S

The Individual
- mechanical engineering bachelor’s degree plus three to five years of related work experience
- Mechanical engineering diploma and six years of related work experience
Experience
- At least three years’ worth of expertise in thorough design and drawing for pressure vessels, filters, piping, seal support systems, or other items related to fluid control systems, complex machines, or process equipment.
- practical knowledge of the CAD programme Solid Edge. Customization of the Solid Edge-CAD software and construction of libraries for 3D parts, subassemblies, and major assemblies.
- strong practical Solid Edge 3D/2D capabilities. programming skills for CAD automation. Experience with Rule stream and Solid Edge is required.
- Solid CAD programming expertise and experience working on Solid Edge 3D CAD automation projects at engineering service businesses will be an extra bonus.
- The ability to produce sophisticated 3D CAD models, aesthetic engineering talent, and CAD customization abilities will be given precedence.
- When designing precision assemblies, one should have excellent application knowledge of fits and tolerances and GD&T.
