You will be part of a Global Engineering Center team at Vadodara and your task is to contribute to the global design work with positive team atmosphere and networking.
Your responsibilities
- Make mechanical and/or electrical design using the necessary tools and programs by demonstrating advanced knowledge of principles and practices in related practice areas.
- To have experience and knowledge in industrial equipment design. Having knowledge and experience in the design of transformer components (Measurement and Safety Devices, Bushings and DeTC – De-energized Tap Changers, etc.) is preferred.
- Creating BOMs on the ERP program. SAP knowledge is preferred.
- Understanding internal and external customer demands and presenting the appropriate design for customers.
- Provide cost effective quality solutions per customer requirements and deliver within budget and contract; solve unique problems by applying technical knowledge
- Make technical judgment in unique problems considering multiple aspects.
- Find creative/innovative ways to tailor complex solutions to business and customer needs.
- Proactively exchange relevant information with sources within and beyond own area to increase efficiency, share relevant information with selected sources to ensure better results.
- Have knowledge about occupational health and safety, environment, and quality management systems.
- Coordinate plans with plans of other units/functions to improve joint efficiency.
- Responsible for development of Transformer components order and tender designs in coordination with the Market and Sales Strategy to meet the market needs.
- Participation in internal design concept reviews.
- Share technical knowledge with colleagues via various channels, including forums, training, and coaching.

Your background
- B.E/B.Tech or ME/M.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or Mechatronics Engineering
- More than 3 years of experience working in Mechanical design of transformers components like measuring equipment’s, safety devices, bushings, de-energized tap changers etc., according to international standards like IEC, DIN, IEEE, EN. Candidates with higher experience can also to be considered.
- Knowledge in manufacturing processes such as machining, plastic and aluminium injection, casting, forging, welding, surface treatment, additive manufacturing. In addition, to have knowledge of materials and corrosion protection methods.
- Knowledge on CAD software, 3D Modeling software – Creo is considered an advantage
- Experience on Microsoft office and tools.
- Good communication skills in English Language in oral and written form.
