Role

As the Team Manager – Tool Engineering you will be part of the Operations and will report to the Section Head – Tool Engineering

The purpose of your role will be developing new products / new machine tooling and carrying out amendments in existing tooling to evolve a better life at minimal cost, besides generating performance reports of the Tool Engineering department accompanied by creating TPM (TM pillar) and other presentations for adherence. Occasionally managing re-grinding section as the need arises.

A purpose-driven role for you

Your key responsibilities will include, but not limited to:

1. Generating performance report of Tool Engineering to the Plant/manufacturing head
2. Generating presentations for TPM audits & Weekly review
3. Execution of Tool Re-sharpening activity occasionally
4. Impart improvements in tool drawings to ensure tool life enhancement & quality up in the product
5. Adopt Cost control measures to achieve a “Tool cost” budget
6. Implement Inventory control measures to achieve budgeted tool inventory year-on-year
7. Upgrade the knowledge and skill level of Team members

Academic Qualification & Experience

1. Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
2. 1-6 experience in tooling

Technical Skills/Knowledge

1. Experience in CAD/Cam software
2. System knowledge of like TPM,5S,DWM etc.
3. Knowledge of Machining
4. Problem solving skills
5. Knowledge of Toolings

Behavioural Skills

1. Receptiveness in listening to customers and delivering results at once and always
2. Strong communication skills
