Product Engineer for Service Business Line (Board, Paper, and Tissue Solutions) (based in Pune, India)

Are you the enthusiastic, self-driven, and result-oriented professional who wants to move our customer’s performance forward?

We are looking for a “Product Engineer” to be based in Pune, India. This position reports to “Senior Manager, Project Operations, India”.  In this position you will have an opportunity to carry out all engineering activities associated with designing, detailing, and releasing designs to manufacturing for Board, Paper, and Tissue Machines for all kinds of projects; and also collaborate with product centres across the globe for design support, using the in-depth knowledge of the latest design trends, engineering software, analytical and creative skills wherever required and to play a lead engineer role if nominated in coordinating, directing and carry out all activities of engineering.

In this position, you will be required to,

Efficiently prepare layout, schematic, and detailed drawing. Ensure designs are based on the established standards and specifications. Maintain existing engineering records and designs. Create and maintain a bill of materials. Technical product support to internal and external customers. Leading the initiative for Technology Transfer from EMEA to AP for Product Localization activities. Support to Sales team for Pre-Sales engineering (Application Engineering and Pricing functions). Participation in the technology team’s work. Product Safety. Support to procurement activities. Participation in delivery projects and customer audits.

To succeed in this role, you will need:

Bachelor / Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering. 4-6 years of professional experience in relevant field. Proficient with Catia V6 (Preferred) or other 3D Modelling software. Experience in the Pulp and paper industry or manufacturing industry is preferred. Knowledge of welding process and GD&T requirements Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. Other languages are a merit. Knowledge of manufacturing processes, and metallurgy. Willingness to travel, inside India & globally
