Job Description Summary

The Jr. Engineer (Winder), who is a member of the GE India Multi-modal Loco team, is in charge of winding the motor and alternator.

You are also in charge of safety, quality, process trials and developments, Kaizen, 5S, and LEAN concepts, as well as ongoing improvement initiatives.

It is your responsibility to carry out your duties in accordance with established standards and guidelines and to put the QMS’s policies and procedures into practise.

Essential Responsibilities:

understanding of industry safety procedures.
the capacity to read and comprehend specifications and drawings.
versatility in tool and equipment use
Self-inspection according to the criteria of the drawing or standard is your responsibility.
In charge of production according to the production schedule.
responsible for the alternator and motor windings.
the capacity to pick up and use a variety of digital technologies.
the capacity to operate heavy equipment, like Mainis, cranes, etc.
Must adhere to all EHS regulations and actively support EHS initiatives as laid forth in the plant.
Place coils and make electrical connections in accordance with the winding schematics.
Using a torch, carbon, or induction, braze.
Ability to manage a work and carry out cycles of impregnation.
Chemicals should be handled, measured, and mixed in accordance with established procedures and operational specifications.
preserving a healthy work environment using 5S tools.

Qualifications/Requirements:

highest levels of safety mindset and personal integrity.
First Class Mechanical/Electrical Diploma.
2 to 3 Years of Experience in the Manufacturing/Engineering Sector.

MS Office proficiency and strong organizing abilities.
the capacity to manage many tasks at once.
outstanding communication abilities in both spoken and written form, strong interpersonal and leadership skills (English, Hindi, Marathi).
Team Player Knowledge of 5S, Lean, and Six Sigma Methodology.
