Job Description Summary

Plan, conduct, and monitor the quality of a product line including NDT, in-process and final inspection of parts and shall be accountable for the on-time inspection of parts to meet the customer demand with utmost focus on quality objectives.

Job Responsibilities:
  • From a quality standpoint, basic knowledge of welding and fabrication activities must include MIG/MAG, GTAW, and SMAW processes. Understanding the fundamentals of PQR/WPS and WPQR as defined by ISO 15614 and ISO 9606.
  • NDT ASNT/EN A level 2 candidate will be preferable.
  • 8D, SPC, MSA, PFMEA, Control Plan, and 7QC Tools are examples of quality analysis tools.
  • Approve in-process production by validating needed specifications, performing visual and measurement tests, and notifying any revisions to the production supervisor.
  • Complete reports and logs to document and update inspection results.
  • Look into consumer complaints and non-conformity issues.
  • Create, recommend, and track remedial and preventive actions.
  • Responsible for driving quality in products and processes, as well as establishing systems to ensure that customer expectations are met.
  • In charge of gathering and compiling statistical quality data.
  • Internal audits and other quality assurance actions should be documented.
  • Examine audit results and take appropriate corrective steps.
  • Marinate reports communicate the results of high-quality operations.
  • Proactively identifying areas of obstruction/breakdown and taking action to resolve the issue as soon as possible
  • Assist in the investigation of process-related quality issues.
  • Tracking and regulating rejection by immediately issuing an alarm/NC and keeping CoQ in accordance with organizational criteria
  • Participated in Kaizen and other process improvement activities such as proposal activities
  • Computer abilities, especially MS Office, are required.
  • Calibration of all measuring and testing instruments, both in-house and through subcontracting.
  • Manage MRB and RTV and assure on-time disposition/drive supplier recovery as needed; also keep a vital supplier scorecard.
  • Participate in HPT Team conversations and share thoughts on quality, quality escapes and issue resolution, RCA, CAPA, and so on.
  • Will be responsible for comprehensive compliance with the Quality Management System and will lead important initiatives; integrate the function with business goals to support the company’s 2x growth. Year-Over-Year
  • Use knowledge and skills to complete given responsibilities while also providing leadership to quality inspectors, mentoring and training them, and ensuring continual skill growth.
  • Own Quality Metrics for the Product Line, such as COQ, FPY, DPU, Escaping Defects, Customer Issue Resolution, On-Time Qualification, and so on.
  • Work closely with the AME Team to manage the digitalization of important quality KPIs, the deployment of the Quality module in MES, and other Lean projects (re-layout/ resource optimization/ automation, for example).
  • Calibration Management of all gauges/instruments/fixtures; deploy smart gauges (blue tooth enabled) to help accelerate the digitization of manufacturing operations
Qualification & Essential Requirements:
  • Diploma in Mechanical or Production Engineering from a reputable college/university
  • 2 – 3 years of hands-on experience in the Quality Function, primarily in heavy fabrication.
  • Willing to work in shifts to achieve corporate goals.
  • Strong oral and written communication abilities, as well as the ability to communicate with people at all levels
