Position – Senior/ Lead Engineer – Metallurgy/Metallic Manufacturing Technology

Job description

Responsibilities

* Support and guide in any metallic material and related manucturing topics.
* Assess non-conforming parts and investigate potential manufacturing issues.
* Failure analysis & Materials suggestions (Gland bridge, etc).
* Create necessary material specifications for parts/materials.
* Create PMA as per the requirement for a new project (G1 EU).
* Work with suppliers for the manufacturing process like Casting/Forging to address Engineering needs.
* Exploring possibilities of Additive manufacturing for Klok.
* To support on material related aspects in RFQs, orders, etc.
* ECR disposition on material aspects.
 
Desired Educational Qualification
* Masters or Ph.D. degree in Metallurgical Engineering/Metal Material Sciences/Material Technology
 
Technical Skills / Knowledge Required 
* Experience in the mechanical product design industry.
* Experience in the application of materials technology to a broad range of problems, especially in the design of Valves.
* Experience with multiple facets of various manufacturing process castings, forging, machining, sheet metal, etc.
* Thorough knowledge and experience with national and international material specifications (e.g. ASME, ASTM, EN, ISO, etc).
* General knowledge in welding is desirable.
