Job description

Danfoss is looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer with hands-on experience with strong experience reading and understanding 3D / 2D drawings and able to pull out descriptions, and quantities for BOM

Job Responsibilities

• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics AX 2009 (AXAPTA) is an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) solution for Bill of Material management
• Hands-on experience to read and understanding 3D / 2D drawings and being able to pull out descriptions, and quantity for BOM
• Work with the Production, Purchase team to ensure that the right content of BOM goes into the product with first time right approach
• Adhere to process to eliminate human error and subsequent impacts of delivery and cost
• Create a Product and BOM matrix for variant configuration.
• Should have integration knowledge with Variant Configurator (VC) and all other cross-functional areas.
• Understand business requirements and provide the best solution.
• In-scope services to include the creation and maintenance related to variant configuration.
• Production support activities related to the variant models.
• Should have a good understanding of manufacturing processes
• Item code creation
• New product setup
• Check/prepare Bill of material as per drawings and calculations
• Contribute to the continuous improvement process
• Knowledge of material specification based on application.
• Setting new standards/formats/checklists for improving efficiency in routine work.
• A complete finisher taking accountability for ideas from inception to delivery in the process of improvement
• Documentation & Record keeping
• Work closely with the R & D Team, in Denmark

Background & Skills

• Good hands-on ASME SEC VIII DIV I, B16.25, B16.9, B16.5, DIN, and ISO standards and other Pressure Vessel codes.
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office, and AutoCAD, and Knowledge of 3D software preferred, preferably NX.
• SAP ECC 6.0 and above
• Experience in the implementation of SAP will be added advantage
• Excellent communication (written & verbal) and presentation skills
• Experience in the manufacturing industry
• Problem-solving skills
