Position – Sr. Associate Engineer

Job description

• Responsible for Handling all Welding, Brazing Processes on the manufacturing of aerospace components with other Special Processes and Manufacturing processes
• Impart training to Welders and Welders Qualification on Process Theory, Welding Defects, and Inspection
• Troubleshoot Welding defects, providing rework methodology, analyzing root cause and implement corrective Actions
• Work closely with NDT inspection and Metallography lab for PQR Qualifications, Welder Qualifications, and failure investigations
• Consult with engineering personnel to resolve unusual problems in solving Product Issues related to Special Processes
• Lead NADCAP Surveillance and recertification Audits for Welding and Brazing, guiding Production floor personnel and all other Cross-functional teams for audits
• Review Engineering Change Orders related to special Processes and other manufacturing process changes, capture the actions, and implement them in a systematic manner
• Apart from Special Processes, shall also have good knowledge of other manufacturing processes, reading Mechanical drawings
• Procurement and installation of Manufacturing equipment, Co-ordinate with Suppliers for Machine maintenance, Perform Equipment Qualification and Validation Especially related to Special Processes
• Responsible for all Special Process documentation to meet NADCAP, and QMS requirements. Knowledge of ISO-9001 or AS 9100

Skills

• Strong knowledge of Welding Process Like GTAW, PAW, RSW, LBW, and Brazing Processes such as TB, IB, and VB on Precision Components
• Hands-on experience with PQR Qualifications, WPS formulations, and WPQ Qualifications
• Knowledge of ISO, AWS, and ASME Welding Standards preferably AWS D17.1
• Knowledge of NDT methods, Visual Inspection, and Radiographic Film interpretation preferably NDT Leve II in VT
• Should exhibit Values like Integrity, Collaboration, and Accountability and shall be of go-getter attitude
• Shall have excellent communication skills to interact with Customers and internal cross-functional team

Education:

• B.E in Welding / Metallurgy / Mechanical with 2-3 years of experience in welding field
• International Welding Engineer (IWE) Qualification along with B.E in Mechanical or Metallurgy or Welding
